so did you or have you told your friends or family that you make and post videos on youtube? or do some people kind of live like 2 lives. im just curious cause i dont really plan on actually telling any one accept youtube that i make and post videos. just a thought.

My mom knows I make motorcycle videos for YouTube...she just doesn't know exactly what. Like sometimes I tell her I shoot and exhaust video or a tutorial video...but that's it. No other family knows anything about it. And only a couple at-home friends know. So I do feel like I'm living 2 lives.

do u ever plan on letting them see your videos? like if you get 10k plus views a video. or u just gonna keep it to your self? i think ill start telling people when i get bigger on youtube. if i do anyways. i kind of like the double life feeling right now.

Never thought about letting them see. I mean, if they ask, I'll show them. I don't want to hide it from them, but I don't really want to bring it up if they don't bring it up first. Like, I told my mom I make some videos on YouTube for fun. But she never asks to see them, so I never figured to show her since she doesn't seem interested.

i feel like if i get big enough ill let every one i know, know about it. just for the "oh you thought i was just a normal guy? NOPE!" feeling haha. feeling popular as i let them know. probably via face book or something.

My mum has commented on my videos... I had to tell her to stop because I didn't want subscribers working out she was my mother LOL

haha thats the my mom would be. thats why i dont wanna tell her till her comments will be drown out in a couple days or hours depending on popularity.

i love my mom but it gets embarrassing from time to time.

I dont think there is anyone in my family that isn't a subscriber. I had to make some of them at gunpoint. Its a regular conversation piece during Sunday lunches.

My family and friends all know. Bit hard to hide it when I am on facebook as well
I dont do anything illegal so I figured it was another way to let family and friends see what I enjoy doing.

I used to not tell anyone bar my wife but after I rebooted my chan everyone knows, some watch and comment others are like...
"what... ya a geek in your work life and you even more geeky posting videos of you riding a bike about? Who watches that!??!"

In general everyone knows including work mates who always want to be in a video lol!

Double life all the way. Some people know that I make videos and upload them to the tubes but they don't know that I motovlog or even what's motovlogging. I have some internet presence with my first user name but I decided to do this with a completely new and fresh identity.
I don't try to actively hide the fact that I make videos riding, hooning, talking to myself and doing stupid stuff and most people get the hint when they see me riding or walking all geared up with the camera on my helmet and talking with my hands. I'm sure some people can even hear me vlogging from outside of my helmet when I stop on red lights for example. I told some people that I just record my rides for insurance or just for the fun of it when they ask.
The "dots" are there if somebody wants to connect them, sometimes friends come over and use my computer and my YT account is open. Sometimes I leave facebook open and they can switch identities to Shirou. They can easily figure out it's me on the tubes if they compare the rider, cameras and bikes from the videos I post on my "real" facebook with those on the tubes if they get to my channel. The difference from the FB vids and YT vids is that I post on FB little highlights of my rides, about 1 or 2 minutes and on YT is the full vlog thing.
Motovlog, helmet cameras and... motorcycling gear in general aren't too popular here (and for most people, completely optional) so I'm the weird guy and everyone is looking at me when I ride. Many people ask me about my gear and they get puzzled when I'm out to ride in 40ºC weather.
I also, didn't post yet any motovlog for locals. I want to keep things separated. I did a few vlogs in my language but I don't see the point in posting them when there are just 2 vloggers in my entire country. I don't know if I WANT to get attention from local people.

My parents know and watch occasionally, they will never comment though. I curse entirely too much so my mother won't show them to my grandmother or uncle. Not sure if my sister knows or not. I usually don't tell my friends that don't already know, but one or two of them have figured it out. For some reason I have a harder time telling strangers/friends about it than family.

Everybody knows!!! I get random people recognise me occassionally :P Sometimes they seek me out on social networks because in all honesty i'm not too hard to find haha

started off as a secret
then obviously the parents ("what the hells this, in the post?")
then some close mates
then some guy who lives round the corner from me, found my videos
then one family member found me, then put it on facebook... :o

and those at college, cant really hide pulling up with a camera stuck to the hemlet..

so yeah basically every one (worst kept secret lol)

but most people just think its for wheelies and that. :)

thats like my ideal way i want to have my secret let out. is to be going some where in real life and some one recognizes me from the internet.

Most of my family and close friends know, they get it that it's my main hobby.

I don't really share it with people at work, a couple of select colleagues that are also into bikes / youtube. Because I'm mindful protecting my professional reputation (what little I have!)

My wife and some of her family know (one of the reasons I don't use bad language) but my family and friends have no idea. I didn't tell them at the beginning because I wasn't completely happy with my vlogs. I may mention it some time just so I can get a few extra subs :) I've only been recognised once. Quite a weird feeling meeting a stranger who knows quite a bit about you.

People ask me about my camera all the time. I tell them the truth, it's there for insurance purposes in the event I get into another wreck. That's 90% of the truth anyway, they don't really need to know the rest.

i never even thought about the insurance aspect of having a camera on my helmet. now im gonna record every time i ride with our with out mic. yay having proof some people are not looking out for you and almost killing you.
