Double life all the way. Some people know that I make videos and upload them to the tubes but they don't know that I motovlog or even what's motovlogging. I have some internet presence with my first user name but I decided to do this with a completely new and fresh identity.
I don't try to actively hide the fact that I make videos riding, hooning, talking to myself and doing stupid stuff and most people get the hint when they see me riding or walking all geared up with the camera on my helmet and talking with my hands. I'm sure some people can even hear me vlogging from outside of my helmet when I stop on red lights for example. I told some people that I just record my rides for insurance or just for the fun of it when they ask.
The "dots" are there if somebody wants to connect them, sometimes friends come over and use my computer and my YT account is open. Sometimes I leave facebook open and they can switch identities to Shirou. They can easily figure out it's me on the tubes if they compare the rider, cameras and bikes from the videos I post on my "real" facebook with those on the tubes if they get to my channel. The difference from the FB vids and YT vids is that I post on FB little highlights of my rides, about 1 or 2 minutes and on YT is the full vlog thing.
Motovlog, helmet cameras and... motorcycling gear in general aren't too popular here (and for most people, completely optional) so I'm the weird guy and everyone is looking at me when I ride. Many people ask me about my gear and they get puzzled when I'm out to ride in 40ºC weather.
I also, didn't post yet any motovlog for locals. I want to keep things separated. I did a few vlogs in my language but I don't see the point in posting them when there are just 2 vloggers in my entire country. I don't know if I WANT to get attention from local people.
