Ozarks Meetup 2013

Weather is looking to be about average for this time of year (which means unpredictable). Regardless of the forecast, we have been having a cold, wet, non-spring. Bring your rain gear and something that could keep you warm if needed, we sit around in the evening and shoot the bull outside. That being said - it's looking to be pretty nice!

It would be awesome to go, only 7 hours away. But i dont think my bike would like that very much :/ and i have never ridden for more than 2 hours D:

Trying to figure out how an inanimate object, made from metal and plastic, would have any type of feeling on how far it is to be ridden. I am fairly certain that the creators of said motorcycle had decided that for it to be of any use to anyone, that it will be able to travel distances greater than 5 miles from point of origin at any given time.

Needless to say, I am pretty damn confident that your bike would travel very well for ever how many hours you wish to ride it.

I wish i had seen this sooner. I'm tempted though, I really don't have anything going on for a couple weeks till I start working again and my summer class starts. But man 8 1/2 hours from iowa down there on a zx10r might do me in since I'd pretty much have to do it all in a day, couldn't really afford to pay for any motels along the way.

Will think about it for a bit!

I once road from Greenville, NC to Birmingham, AL non stop in the rain on a GSXR. It rained from the time I started until right around the time I hit Atlanta and I didn't have rain gear. We started at 10AM and didn't make it home until 5AM the following morning. Get an early start and you'll be there before dinner time, especially if the weather is decent.

I just got off the phone booking my room. My God! That guy was the hardest person to understand and talk to I've ever held a conversation with!!! Gonna try to bring the Street Triple AND DRZ.

Well!?!? How did it go you effers?

Great turn-out! I think we had 19 or 20 bikes Saturday. Weather stayed dry, but humid. Good to see old friends and make new ones - one was quite hairy. :lol: No crashes, no flats.

Had a blast. It was great meeting everyone. The riding was awesome. The after-ride BSing in the parking lot was equally awesome. I don't know if I can make it every year but I'll sure try.
