Ozarks Meetup 2012

Someone needs to get a hold of Ramekin and check the room situation and see how many he has reserved and how many we actually need. Im sure it will free up some space for other people wanting to attend.

I nominate...you!

I called the Hub to get rates for May 18th and May 19th. There were no rooms available. We were put on a waiting list. Please cancel your reservation with the Hub if you're not going to attend the Ozark's meetup. I need a minimum of 2 beds for four people. I was hoping to get two rooms.

The weather in Minnesota has been really warm. It was over 70 degrees (F) yesterday. We could get snow on Monday. I'm expecting to have nice weather for our motorcycle road trip in May.

We'll have to find a hotel in Jasper, AR if I don't get a room at the Hub. Any hotel recommendations would be appreciated.

Call the Hub back and ask about rooms reserved for the motovlogging group. That's who they're apparently holding rooms for according to Ramekin. He said they were setting aside 30 rooms, we're still working on finding out how many are left.

Hrm, sounds like they didn't hold any rooms at all. That's kind of what I expected, and that's exactly what happened last year.

I browsed motels in Jasper and Harrison. Does any one else want to stay at another motel? I don't want to share a room with someone I don't know. Plus I'll have three other people with me. It would be fun to hang out with other bikers at a another motel since the Hub is full.

Looks like someone already did all the leg work back on page 9.

By the looks of some of the other Motel/Hotels, I may say the hell with it... I mean where would we all meet up at? I wouldnt be able to get there till Sat. morning after a 9.5hr ride.

I'd say you could just make the 15 minute ride up to the hub and join the group there in the morning before breakfast or something.

Only 15min? Not bad. 15min from where? Hell I'm there, I need some time off and may bring the wife for a weekend(i said may)...LOL

The HUB is an easy 20 minute ride south of Harrison as well, there are several motels there. I'm pretty sure the HUB also allows camping on their grounds, if that is a consideration (call to verify if this is still policy).

I decided to change my vacation time. We'll be leaving in the last week of May. We will have more time to ride our motorcycles to Eureka Springs. My kids just got their motorcycle licenses a few weeks ago. We will be staying in Eureka Springs, AR from May 31 to June 03.

On my way to the HUB and the Triumph RAT Raid in about 1 hour for a 4-day stay! :D

Weather should be pretty good (fingers crossed). I'm hoping to get some good footage.
