hey guys I got an Email from them earlier about "youtube monitisation" and inviting me to join it. Is that a partnership? please help as I don't know a thing about it =)

Basically you get payed for adverts on your videos.. but to actually get any cash you need to make £100 before you get anything :( or something along those lines

& you need something like 10,000 views each video to get close to that. Each click on the ad is something like 0.001p.

For that i think you have to have a S**t Load of subscribers and a hell of alot of views ... perhaps google can help on that one mate :D ?

The only person I can imagine getting enough for beer money through YT is, Prem187.

Close calls would get a fair few views, not saying you should go out & risk your life & bike for money but quite alot of weird people out there search for that & find it 'entertaining'

Don't cancel it, it's no disadvantage so it's not costing you anything but is a possible way of income. So may aswell keep it.

It's worth it because as you get more subs, you get money for doing a hobby you enjoy, bonus. Took several months for me to get the 1st payment but as my subs go up, I'm getting more money each month. Go for it, you've nothing to lose.

We don't all have interesting vlogs like yourself haha, & get to test ride a couple bikes a month.

I think because your an instructer & alot of people wanting to start biking would come across your channel first gives you an advantage. But it works so, Win, win :)

thanks for the whise words mate =) I'll keep at it then. just no advertising on videos where I use music (that rights out the guitar cover coming soon :P )

Do you have to add bank details and all that? Also can you select what video you want the Ad's to apply on?

Where are you coming up with that number? I don't think there's really a formula for how much you'll make. Some people make good money. Some people make practically nothing.

If you want to make money make sure you use good tags and good descriptions in your videos so people can find them. I'm willing to bet the tags are the biggest determining factor on what kind of ads will be on the video. Relevant ads are much more likely to get clicks.

Anyone that tells you there's a set amount per click or view is wrong. It varies based on the advertisers. Some weeks I get tons of views and barely any money accumulates. Other weeks I get far fewer views and make pretty good money. It's just because an ad that ran had a higher bidding advertiser. Or maybe a more relevant ad ran and more people clicked it.

The more views the more chance of more money, & I said 'something' I didn't say a specific number, it might be a £1 a click. But then if it was I think every man & his dog would be on YT.

Just a figure of speech.

Don't get your knickers in a twist! I wasn't calling you out and saying you were wrong. I was saying where ever you found that number was wrong.

I can tell you from experience that it would be difficult to even give you a reasonable estimate or average because it fluctuates so wildly. I've tried to figure out a formula or average and I gave up because its all over the place. Based on views sometimes I think I've got nothing and I look and the number is way higher than I expected. Then other times my views are through the roof and I expect a big check and get barely anything.

By the way, every man and his dog is on YouTube.
