Thanks for the warm welcome. I have been riding motorcycles for almost 30 years. Had a hiatus after a pretty bad accident but now I have a 2004 V-Rod and for as much sh... er... crap I take from other bikers, I LOVE it!!!
Anyway, I found myself in possession of a GoPro recently (dangerous, i know) and I thought, "This might be fun!" So I strapped it to my handle bars. Now I have one mounted to my helmet and all mic-ed up. Figured I'd have some fun and who knows, might come in handy if, heaven forbid, i need it for insurance purposes.
But I also started a YouTube channel called Woolly Sammoth that name would make sense to you if you ever saw me without a shirt on (which will never happen).
I live in South Salt Lake, the home of car dealerships and strip clubs. Let's meet up sometime and ride and talk about bikes.
What year is the V-Rod? Are those the early model wheels but powder coated black? I remember back when the V-Rod first came out some sceptical folks were afraid of how the solid wheels would catch cross winds. I always thought those folks were crazy.
Welcome SLC Sam! I love the V-Rod, although I've never ridden one. My father-in-law has an early one, but it was mothballed (or forgotten about) years ago. Every time I see him I ask if he'll sell it to me... he still hasn't
I second R-Rated's question ... a buddy of mine has those dish-style wheels on his Softtail (2004 IIRC) and says crosswinds catch 'em and toss him around.
We have a few hidden forums and features that you can't see until you login or sign up. We only send about 4 emails a year and never sell anything. We're a global community for bikers who like to record videos. We run this site for fun
