I am from India
I ride a Suzuki GSX 150F (which in my country is named "Gixxer SF" by the manufacturer)
I am an ER doctor by profession, and not a lot of things to like but I have an interest in riding motorcycles and recently motovlogging as well.
Well I am here to explore the forum and the various motovlogging avenues. Learn different things if possible and share my own experiences.
I will post a Photo of my Bike soon. Dont have a decent one to show off on here xD

Welcome to the forum. Looking forward to pics of your bike. As an ER doctor who may have seen their share of motorcycle and scooter crash victims does that affect the way you ride, or the gear you wear?

It does heavily influence my riding style in addition to following the standard Road and Traffic rules. Almost every day I see a fair amount of RTAs and almost everytime I can easily diagnose what kind of RTA the victim had been in.
Now this being India, rules and regulations + safety is rarely followed by the Motorcyclists here. This coupled with very poor road infrastructure, poor policing, non-existent motorcycle schools and negative attitude of commuters makes things absolutely worse.
So if a road has a posted speed limit of 50kmh, I make sure not to go above 40. As far as riding gear is concerned, we dont have a whole lot of options here. All the imported branded gear is quite expensive. We dont even have any online retailers here like Revzilla that could give clearance sales or discounts. (Buying it internationally and getting it shipped is once again an expensive ordeal)
However we do have certain local brands which are quite good and they have the necessary CE rated armor protections.
The motorcycling scene in India is developing, slowly but surely. Riders here still need to learn to maintain discipline while riding.

Hi @Mozard welcome to the forum. From the Indian motovlogs I have seen in the past I can only imagine how many accidents happen. It must be frustrating to not be able to get hold of the safety kit at a reasonable price. I look forward to your input to the forum and your content if you choose to share it with us!

Sorry to hear things are such a hardship, but with any population people find smart and creative ways to protect themselves. I have a friend whose wife travels to India once a year for a training retreat. She's a yoga instructor, and an avid scooter rider. She gave me a description of riding in India giving me a health dose of respect for anyone there riding on two wheels.

I appreciate your sentiment but to be honest you shouldnt have respect for anyone riding here. Only a very small fraction of the total motorcycle riding population actually follows the rules and wears proper gear for safety.
The reason why I say this is because like I mentioned before, people here are not even bothered to put some effort into following the rules. Not even the most basic of rules; which require just common sense, is followed here.

I know what you mean. I think I meant respect for those taking the risk in such a chaotic environment. From what I understand there's a code of horn use that riders and drivers use to navigate the roads.

@scooterwuf Nope no code of horn use, everyone here uses the horn blatantly and for no reason. Thats one of the annoying things of being on Indian roads.
