Welcome to Hrunkaru

Hi everyone!

I am from Estonia and big shoutout to everyone here who are from Estonia, who have been in Estonia, who had heard about Estonia and also to everyone who now went to check where the hell is the Estonia… :D

A small hint is that it is a nordic/baltic country where the motorcycle season is too short, hopefully the snow and salty roads are gone in March and then I could truly say that I am riding a motorcycle.
I am rather new to the hobby, but man do I like it. Got my license in the end of last summer and after few days bought a 2003 naked SV650 and put few thousand kilometers on it before season ended. As a christmas gift to myself I also bought a 2007 FZ1-SA, but the bike is still at the dealership waiting for the spring..

Anyway, I have been lurking around and reading this forum for a while and find it both useful and interesting, so here I am - hopefully at some point able to give back to the community!

Welcome. SV is a fantastic bike for dipping you toes into the sporty world. Dare I say, while not as fast, it might be more fun the the FZ1.

Lucky for me, I know where Estonia is, and have heard of it. So yay, I got a couple. Welcome and hopefully you will have pics to share.

Thanks for being so welcoming!

The SV650 is definitely awesome bike and I'd say it is plenty fast and powerful to get into trouble - so that is definitely not why I bought a FZ1. :)
And SV650 is a lot of fun to ride for sure, the sound, flickability and torque will bring smile on my face any day. Would recommend. :)

The only problem with the naked SV650 is that it is naked, which can get tiresome on longer trips and/or higher speeds - that is the reason I got the FZ1.

I do not have many cinematographic, artsy or otherwise great to show-off pictures, but I do have some pictures. The purpose of the FZ1 is to allow me for more comfortable longer trips - hopefully I will be able to do a coast-line ride through Estonia-Latvia-Lithuania and also a 2500-3000 km trip to Norway this summer.

Just random pic of the SV650 (blue, in the front):

And @Theodor - I hope to see you on the road when the season begins! :)

Considering where that group picture has been taken, we may very well have seen each other riding :D
It is a shame there have not been that many consistent motovloggers from our area. I followed one, but he stopped posting couple of years back.

Ok, I got to ask - are there lots of motorcycle riding unicorns/dinosaurs in Estonia or just the one in the picture?

Welcome to the forum!

Welcome to the forum!

That’s a good question! We have at least 2 motorcycle unicorns, 2 motorcycle dinosaurs, a motorcycle tiger, motorcycle cow, some motorcycle monsters and motorcycle witches too.
So not too many, but you might bump into some of them, they seem to come out during halloween group rides. :)
