Hi @Superfist,

Welcome to MotoVlog.com.
Where are you from? What do you ride? Say hello, what do you like? Why are you here?

This is an auto-welcome

Hello!

I'm from the Southeast US and ride a Yamaha FJ-09. There isn't much that I don't like. Motorcycles, books, video games, video editing, photography and pretty much anything that would make most people smile.

I keep googling for things and found myself here multiple times. I commute daily and run two cameras and yet, I haven't ever posted a blog/vlog despite having nearly a terabyte of accumulated footage. I have a couple low quality and low effort videos up for friends and family. I'd like to start vlogging for fun, to share motorcycling and to develop some new skills in editing and videography.

I also really want to get over the loathing of my own work. I often don't post something because I'm not satisfied with the quality or some other aspect of it just isn't good enough or because I didn't get a particular shot because of a lack of resources.

Thanks for the welcome!

Hiya, welcome to the forum. I try to keep on top of any hoarded video files, I only keep the ones I think are good/useful, everything else gets binned to save space :-)

Welcome. Two cameras on an every day commute. Sometimes I forget to charge even just the one camera. Don't think I could do 2

Thanks for the welcome =) And yeah, a lot of it is just offloaded to disk for no reason. Just the everyday commute.

It's one on the chin of my helmet that I can't forget and the other is rear facing on the tail above the brake light. The footage saved my bacon a couple years ago when I was rear ended pretty badly. I almost never ride without a camera rolling if I can help it now.

I have a Drift and sometimes I forget. As I understand if your rear ended its always the guys that hits you at fault. The front mounted camera should prove that you didn't stop for no reason. At least thats how I understand it

It seems stupid these days not to have a camera

Welcome to the Forum. Don’t let what you think is poor quality shots stop you. Your viewers will forgive low quality footage if the footage, or the overall video — use of music, narration, editing — is good. Watching and hearing commentary that is new and interesting trumps everything else.

Just see what happens.

Yeah, the camera tells the truth, even if the other driver does not. In my case, the other driver did take responsibility. But if he had decided to tell some tales about a crazy ass motorcycle weaving lanes and cutting him off while the rider is laying on the side of the road being attended by EMS... it could go poorly.

Lucky then a lot of people don't admit blame
