Swearing in Vlogs?

Mac and cheese?? I THINK NOT, SIR!
I'd like to get peoples' opinions of swearing in motovlogs. What triggered this question is the fact that I'm wondering as to whether I should upload my latest vlog to YT due to my filthy mouth. I mean, I could always beep out the swearing, but it'd make for a pretty annoying video. I'm a naturally vocal person, and I swear a hell of a lot while I'm riding, but I understand that for some people it can put them off watching a video.

Thoughts? Opinions?

No problem with swearing here. Everybody's swearing and who doesn't, then he's lying. I just don't like swearing every second just to feel tough/badass/cool.

I swear all the time. If I ever upload a video without swearing at all my subscribers would probably wonder if something is wrong with me. I've been doing this since 2007 and I've only ever had 3 people complain. Now many people may have unsubbed or never subbed in the first place but when the people complained in comments on my videos I had other people that said they would quit watching if I stopped swearing. They said they like my videos and my mannerisms the way they are and that I shouldn't change to appease a few simple minded people.

Do what you want! If people like it they'll watch! If you change the way you talk and behave to appease others it will just seem fake.

<-- That avatar should give you a hint as to where I stand, but if it doesn't . . .

If I hear someone bleep a word in a video I'll most likely stop watching it, and chances are I'll end up unsubbing them all together. I'm a lot like Kryten, my subs would wonder what was wrong with me if I wasn't cursing like a sailor in my vids. I don't care if someone curses or not, but the people I want to watch are the ones who aren't fake. They'll want to put themselves out there as they are.

I say the word fuck waaaay tooooo many times in my first several vlogs... I've had lots of people complain and I've since tried to tone it down a bit. Someone counted and commented that I say fuck 43times in one of my vlogs. lmfao

I look at all my subs(about 1190 so far) and it seems that I have lots of teenagers subbing to my channel.(I say that because most of their uploads are video games vids) I made my first vlogs as if I were talking to an old buddy who cusses as much as I do.. Now I vlog like I'm speaking to a mixed group of people including women and children. I may let a cuss word slip from time to time.

Just add a "Contains Adult Language" or something similar to the beginning of your video or in the comments. People can choose not to watch if easily offended.
I try not to swear too much, but I'm not wasting my time bleeping out any potty mouth moments. If they don't like it, fuck 'em :)

I swear alot in my videos and if i got to upload a video wich i think i swear in way too much sometimes i do put a little thing at the start warning the viewers.

Thanks for the feedback guys, it has been very helpful. I've edited the video ever so slightly to remove bits where I'm swearing just for the sake of swearing, and I'll put a little disclaimer in the description or title.

Thanks again :)

Well, here's the (edited) video if anyone would like to take a look.

Comments, likes, subs etc are always appreciated.

I used to swear a lot, but I've toned it down a lot. Mainly because it's often better to think of more humorous words to say. So instead of saying 'you little shit' I'll say 'you halfwit' I find it funny. Simple minds and all that.

and remeber its the internet not daytime tv you are sort of expected to swear

This is everything that's wrong with society today.

I don't have an issue with it whatsoever. I cut a couple out of my vlog, but I also left some in. If you cuss in person, cuss in your vlog, be who you are!

I've actually found that I have to restrain myself more in person than in my vlogs. A lot of the things that go on in my mind are less than socially acceptable, but on YT if someone doesn't like it they can quite easily just click the little red x.

well i don't often swear, only when i irritated by something or someone... i once bleeped such a vid & decided not to do that anymore, it's a pain to edit, and if people are offended by a little filthy talking then why are they watching motorcycle vlogs...? i try not to swear to much but honestly, is you swear at certain things, that's just who you are, and isn't that what vlogging is all about, showing how we feel/are/think about things? now that i think about it, bleeping out bad language is like faking a smile, you hide who you really are to please someone else... FUCK THAT, just be dirty mouth-self. and if they don't like it: Hey, Newsflash buddy, get da fuck of my channel ;-)

i guess that was clear, maybe a bit too clear. ^^ well anyhow you can see what i think of bleeping/swearing

Not true.
I don't swear. I haven't said a single swear word since I was about 13/14 and decided that it's crazy.
The English language is filled with a countless number of words that you can use to express yourself... why the need to swear all the time instead?

I just don't see the point.

Why be offended by a word, especially when other words that mean the same thing are socially acceptable?
