Hey all i am a new rider i have been riding since last September and figured it would be cool to motovlog but i only have a ninja 250r at the moment and was wondering if it wouldnt be as enjoyable to watch or something? I mean i dont really want to spend the money on a camera and mic and not have any viewers because of the engine size of my bike.

Ah, you definitely are new to this. Those who ride Ninja 250Rs get a good amount of views because beginner riders always end up searching for Ninja 250r videos. Just make sure to put "Ninja 250r" in your tags so your video shows up when they do a search for it on YouTube. :P Most importantly, have fun!

PS, a lot of the bigger name vloggers started on 250s and had thousands of viewers before they upgraded to a bigger bike. Not saying the bike they were riding was the only reason they got subs, but it helped get them noticed in the beginning since almost all beginners tend to search for videos of beginner motorcycles.

There are some vloggers with dual sport 250cc bikes, and they are nowhere near a beginner, and they produce great content. There are also great vloggers with bikes smaller than 250cc's, so it's not the size that counts, but the excitement you produce ;)

Hahah oh man...what am I getting myself into...

You just opened a can of worms in my head.... here goes...

1. If you feel that you need justification to vlog (aka views and subs) than don't even bother. People can and will pick up on that quickly.

2. You will be the 26,385th vlogger on YouTube, so don't expect to be an overnight success.

3. For whatever reason, you whacko kids love watching each other putt around on your sewing machines, so yes, having a 250R is a good thing on YouTube.

Bottom line: Vlog to create memories for your future. Forget about numbers, subs, views.... it's all meaningless anyway. I still enjoy watching vids I put up 3 years ago, it just brings back a time in my life I will never get back, and that to me is that greatest joy in vlogging.

Don't worry the Ninja 250 is a popular bike, there's no reason to think riding a small capacity bike will negatively affect your videos.

I thought you didn't upload "those" videos...

Thanks guys! I wasnt looking for subs and all i was just hoping people would watch the stuff i make so i can share the fun with everyone you know?! But thanks again guys i loved your feedback and this helped me out a lot!

Its better to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow. I know a guy from another forum who is a senior frikkin citizen and got his Iron Butt while riding a 250 ninja. They are popular bikes.

And on a side note, dont ever be ashamed or embarrassed by your bike. You are still cooler than a cager!

Thanks OKMotorsporter47 for your advice I will surely try to follow it, one more question though what is a good camera and mic to get that is not so pricey? Dont got much extra money to spend so go pro and the stealth are way overpriced for me.

Just throw in the camera and talk. IMO the bike doesnt make you a good vlogger or even a decent vlogger. No matter the bike if your content is good people will watch. (I ride a 1993 Virago 750 and I still have a fan or two ;) )

We have subs because they like what we do and we do what we do simply because we love to do it. If I can help one person with my vlogs I know Ive done good. Keep that mindset and youll be fine.

I wouldn't worry about that. I've never subbed anyone because of the bike they were on. And I do sub some people who just happen to ride Ninja 250's.

I searched V570 and it said no results is there a name before the v570?

You and I are in the same boat. I plan on vlogging soon myself. As Fritz020 said it in a video not too long ago, and I defininetly had the same mindset for awhile now, but he said if you start blogging, don't do it just for the number of subs. Yeah, getting subs is nice but it should not be the only reason to do it.

Motovlogging isn't just about riding around recording and talking to yourself, it's encouraging people to enjoy life and the enjoyment of riding a motorcycle.
