Recommendation?

Hi everyone!
I am from East Lansing, Michigan.
I am getting the new 2017 Yamaha R6 in 4-5 days. But just because I am 19 and getting the bike on a loan, the insurance Companies are quoting me rates like 3800$ an year. Does anyone have an advice on how to get an affordable Insurance or where to get it? Also, any recommendations for any bikers club/group.
And I will be starting vlogging as soon as I will get the bike, so I would love to bike around with anyone.

I don't know how it works in the US but in the U.K. Your premium drops massively once you've got a years no claims behind you.

Welcome.. Nice bike. Not sure about your insurance but with your age and bike category I don't think you can get any cheap coverage. Maybe someone else in the forum can give better advice.

It costs $12,199 here in US and then after taxes, paper work and registration it would be some 14,000 dollars.

If so I'd suggest something else instead, maybe a slightly older R6

This isn't my first bike. I had 2015 CBR300R last year. And I have been riding since age of 11, so I have good experience of riding experience.
