Hi new to the world of vlogging been wanting to do it for a few years now but never get much time on the bike, so now that I have more time and future plans which will include a lot of time in Spain finger crossed restrictions are lifted thought I’d give vlogging a go. Currently in the Merseyside area so Yorkshire north Wales and Scotland will be rides i ll be doing any hints or tips or ideas would be appreciated thanks Lee.
 
First thing I'd do, is to just start recording, you can even do same topic over and over, till you feel comfortable talking to camera. One moment you watch and listen to the video and find it has a nice flow to it, so you can cut it in to a vlog and upload. Starting with your first video, when already going on a long trip, might be tricky, best if you get practice before that, so you do not feel rough when recording, you know how your equipment and batteries hold up and you will not get frustrated, if the video does not turn out exactly as you have imagined, just because you did not get the right words out, when the right scenery was in front of the camera etc.
 
Yes sounds like a good idea mate thanks for that will be testing it out on the weekend get used to using the camera and also editing.

Welcome to the forum! I agree, just start shooting. If you don’t like anything you don’t have to upload it. It’s a digital world, so you can save, delete, or edit your footage. The world only knows what you show them and for a lot of motovloggers that can be 10-75% of everything they shoot.

I use Filmora Wondershare, which is one of the more user friendly video editors yet has a lot of the features that the professional software has. Plenty good enough for motovlogging and not too pricey either :)
 
I have ended up with Kdenlive, a freeware multi-platform editor. Though my experience says it does not work as well on Windows, as it does on Linux. It has a decent amount of tutorials available on the old tube.

And yes, just get out and film, the truth is for most of us, our early tries kind of sucked, it takes time and practice. Just do it, and start finding your style and what you want your vlog to be, and be about.

I use Davinci Resolve, it's free, but there can be a steep learning curve.

Hi Dewey thanks for welcome it’s a TL1000R and the GSXS is the 750. Will also have a look at davinci

I loved it. It is kind of a muscle car version of a VFR, a little more power and noise than a VFR, but it isn't quite as sharp handling.

I loved that I could power wheelie a big bike while still tossing on enough luggage and comfort to ride for weeks.

I think as a sport tourer it is a fun option.
 
Well right off the bat you have the advantage of being in an exotic and glamourous area. The scenery alone will be a huge boost.
 
So today I got out on the bike with camera set up and started chatting away only issue is internal mic on drift Xl is useless so external mic ordered see how that goes. Anyway I didn’t find it awkward chatting away as I thought it would be felt kind of natural to me so let’s hope can get another video next weekend with new mic.
