New Vlogger Needs A Username!

Zero

Had the Warhawk before it was cool (2005)
Hey all, My name is Rob and I'm currently living in Arizona (USA). So I've been riding since around 2005. I started out on a 98 ZX-6r, then moved to a 07 CBR 600RR, then to a 08 GSX-R 600.

I used to vlog waaay back when and went by "DivideByZer0" which was kinda dumb but I suck at making up names. Of course I deleted my account on youtube years ago but I have some old images from 09 with my username logos on them.

Anyway I was in a bad crash in 2010, didn't ride for a year, eventually picked up my GSXR and rode that for about 8 mos before selling it (as I was leaving the country). I haven't ridden since.

Lately I've been getting a SERIOUS itch for a bike and to get back on 2 wheels. I am not sure if I wanna stick with the 600's or finally make the jump to a liter bike.. Yeah a 600 has cheaper insurance, easier to toss around in the turns, better gas mileage, etc.. but a 1000cc is.. well.. A THOUSAND CC's haha. I've ridden track only a handful of times but at now 30 years old, I feel I am less irresponsible...probably not lol.

So once I decide what bike to get, I wanna get back into vlogging. Not sure what I wanna use for a username though. I wanna do a mandatory weekly video at least. I think it would be cool to start my channel from day 1 of getting a new bike, so I plan to get all the gear and A/V equipment ahead of time.

this way my viewers can see what it's like to get back in the saddle and watch my progress.. Plus have a few laughs.

To-Do:
• Think of a good username for my channel
• Pick up A/V equipment
• Decide on bike and make my purchase.

any suggestions would be great, thanks guys!!

I'll post pics of my bikes once I hit that 20 post limit..

Well I wanted to start my vlog on day 1. Just picked up the bike and camera is on kinda deal. Share my experience of a guy who hasn't ridden in 3 years or so and hopping back on a bike. Yeah I could bring the bike home and then grab my camera etc, but I had already ridden it. I want to catch that first moment and start from there.

I still haven't decided on which bike, CBR 600rr or 1000rr.. I've ridden 600's for quite a while, and while the power of a 1000 is a bit much unless Im a GP track racer, it's nice to have. But on the other side of it a 600 is easier to toss around in the twisties and even in the streets. So I am still on the fence. I have time to think and do more research.

I still need to think of a channel name, but I'm sure one will pop into my head.

Rob Zombie
Zob Rombie

LOL

Unless you're in the mountains with steep inclines, Liter bikes are insane for street imo. Idk I guess it's your preference since 600s are pretty damn good too. I'm all about realism and practicality. I'm going for that new Yamaha XSR900 when it comes out next spring. Might seem hypocritical of me hahaha. Let us know what you decide on!

Pretty sure "Rob Zombie" is taken hahah. If I did get a liter bike I'd probably gear it down for a little more stability on takeoff. I rode a buddy of mine's 2010 cbr 1000rr and it was almost not fun trying to keep the wheel down while riding. Granted he had a Z-bomb and re-gearing done to his bike so it had a lot more power.. I guess it will come down to what I get a better deal on. If I find a cheaper low-mile 1k, I'll go that route. Vice versa for a 600. I have the riding experience to handle either at this point, decisions decisions.

My guidelines that helped me chose my username was to not numbers and to google your chosen username and make sure it doesn't have a popular affiliation with something else.

anything I come up with I use namecheckr to make sure the youtube, twitter etc are available. What's crappy about youtube is you need 500 subs to get the youtube/username but 500 isn't hard, especially in the motovlog community.

Too bad I never had a nickname I'd just go with that. I did get called "Lucky" for a while because of this crazy crash I had and survived but ehhh.. not sure I wanna use that.

Oooh, an exercise in creativity!

How about OriginalWarhawk?

or PhoenixWarhawk / FeenixWarhawk (or some other variation on spelling)

Something with Phoenix might be cool, since you live in AZ and you're coming back to motorcycles (a rebirth of sorts).

Are you brand loyal to any makes or models?

Do you want where you live or your real name to be a part of your username?

What are some of your interests or hobbies besides motorcycles?

I like your idea of getting you camera setup all ready before you get the bike. You can capture your authentic emotions of getting back on a bike, then. I think that would be interesting to watch/hear.
