New Vlogger in Lincoln

Hey Folks,

- I do have a given name, But most people call me Fortress (& I actually prefer it nowadays).

- Like the title says, I live in Lincoln, but am originally from Lowestoft, right on the Norfolk/Suffolk boarder.

- I've been riding more than 25 Years & the longer I ride the more I love it. My biggest interest is the bike, I just can't leave a bike alone, I modify & tinker with things constantly, not to the detriment of the bike, but in fact improving it, I had a Bandit 1200 that was fairly heavily modified & capable of 1:55 lap times round Cadwell Park, (& for those who are wondering, 1000cc club racers hit the mid 1:40's). I also really enjoy motorsport photography, mostly bikes, but cars as well. Most recently I've been watching a lot of Vlogs on YouTube & found them very interesting & enjoyable, I've been mostly watching:-

These channels are to blame for my now large interest in starting to V-log myself, so guys (points finger) it's your fault. :lol:

- I'm currently riding A ZX-9R Streetfighter, but I'm rebuilding a ZX-12R Streetfighter.

- I haven't started V-logging yet, but intend to very shortly, once I've got the right setup.

- Haven't decided on my camera setup yet, but I'm looking at either a Drift, a new Dogcam Bullet HD or a Replay XD720

Me, you, Lewis and Skeggy Cruiser should meet up one day for a quad-vlog. Would be cool to meet some of the local vloggers and get some footage recorded.

sounds like a plan, but let me get a camera gear sorted 1st, or i'll be the odd one out, lol
 
Well that's it, I've gone & done it now, I've ordered a refurbished Drift HD170 Stealth from Amazon, I should have it before next weekend.
 
Same as me! Mine cost £90 + £3.99 postage. The day it was delivered, they went down to £70+ £3.99 postage.

yeah, got it from that exact seller. Nope, no problems at all really. I thought I had a bit of an issue when I first started blogging, but it turns out that my SD card wasn't up to the task of recording HD video. Replaced it with a 16GB class 10, and all is peachy again :)

Plus, it comes with most of the mounts, which is a bonus.
 
The only thing I will point out, is that they don't come with an external mic as standard. You'll have to grab one from somewhere else unfortunately.

Actioncameras.co.uk have them for £4.99 brand new (official drift ones), or if you wanted to continue with the amazon route, you'll find official drift mics on there for £9.98 but they come from Greece, so postage will be slow.
