Hey guys,
my name is Bryce (ridingwithbryce)
i am an 18 year old rider on my red p plates in Sydney NSW Australia.
I work in Mascot, Sydney, as an assistant production manager.
I currently ride a Suzuki SV650s 2009 model.
I will be putting my first video up tomorrow which will be an unboxing of the drift. i will probably also add in how i am setting my camera up.
first ride vid will be saturday. ride with tastyhamsandwhich aswell as an introduction.
I plan on putting out atleast 3 videos.

youtube channel is

Hey dude. Welcome to the forum. I'm not sure what red P plates means for riding experience, but don't get too overly involved in what you're saying on video because it will distract you from your riding. My only advice is to only start talking when you feel really comfortable riding. Which may be now...who knows lol. Anyway, welcome.

haha thanks guys. i been riding since i was about 8 but that was only dirt bikes. had my road licence for about a year, so i am comfortable with controlling a bike. the only thing that may slow my speaking would be the traffic focus.

red p plates is the first provisional plate for a licence in australia.
leaners for 3 months (max speed 80kmp/h)
red p plates for 1 year (max speed 90km/ph)
green p plates for 18 months (100kmp/h can take passengers) only for those under 25

subbed right away when I saw sydney haha!
i'm on my greens up here in queensland, laws must be a little different down south, are you able to take a pillion after the 18months? or when you get your green p's? Because up here you must have your RE's for atleast a year before pillion, then when I get my R's it's another year as well.

your work as a production assistant, would that happen to be in the film and television industry?

thanks for the sub man.
nah its as soon as i get my green p plates.

and i work more in live production, we do provide some materials and pieces for tv shows. but generally live production because it is better money and a whole lot easier to work with.

we just finished the seniors week premiers concert for march. called studio a.

by the way if anyone wants to talk i do get bored a lot when i get home :)

skype me on bryceb1995

Welcome.

I'm new myself. Going to keep an eye on your videos because my big bro moved down the Oz recently and I was down for his wedding in February, Sydney is an awesome place :)

Btw nice first bike choice in the SV650s, I've got the SV1000s and it's a beast :)

Just out of curiosity, are the bikes for the green p plates physically restricted to 100kmh or could you buy a supersport + just not crash into people at > 100kmh + not get caught over 100kmh in general?

thanks dilwortha. my first road bike was a honda cb250. then i bought my now beauty.

and no konga. no bike is physically restricted, because it would then cost more for the owner to sell the bike. or if a rider who isnt on their greens rode it it would be restricted. we can do more just try not to get caught. :)

for a bit of info. i am still waiting on my camera to arrive. i was promised it would be here by yesterday or today at the very latest.

Welcome to the site mate. Good to see yet another Aussie on here!

I might be passing through Sydney on my upcoming road trip, hopefully I will be able to avoid most of the city though.

The Red and Green P's are Australia's car/bike licensing system.
(I'm on my Green P's)

Short Answer:
Bikes are not restricted, just don't get caught by the police doing over the limit. In QLD I can do whatever the speed limit is I.E Highway @ 110kmph...where as if I ride in NSW i'm "meant" to do 100

Long Answer:
In QLD:
At 16, you go for your Learner Car License (have to have parent or someone with open license to supervise)
At 17, you got for your practical driving test, when you pass you have your Red P's (don't have to have supervisor)
At 18, you get your Green P's, which is when you can get your Motorcycle Learners License. (on your greens for 2 years)
From there you can either do a practical riding day to get your bike license or go through the transport department.
In QLD your on your restricted license for 1 year, then you can sit another test to get your open motorcycle license.
at 20, you automatically get your open car license.
