New Rider/vlogger From Philadelphia

EastPhilly

Two Wheels and a Meat Motor
Hi everyone. I am a rider from Philadelphia. I am new to riding motorcycles, only about 3 months now. I have been riding/racing bicycles for the past couple of years and have always been interested in motorcycles since my youth. Now that I have a big boy job I can finally afford a motorcycle, so that's what i did.

I ride a '15 CB300F (red w/ white plastidip). Besides my own bike I have only ever ridden a Rebel 250, so I am only familiar with small disposition bikes at the moment. I plan on riding all year round except really bad inclement weather. I have been uploading videos of my bicycle rides since last year, but now I am able to do full motovlogs. I plan on doing some videos that have me talking in them, but I think most of my videos will be "observation" style videos. Just things I see around me on a daily basis. I will also do reviews, install, mods, and some tech oriented videos as they come about.

I am not a great editor. All I can use at the moment is GoPro editor, but I am trying to find a better editor with more functions that I can learn to use. I am not great at doing editing in bigger programs, but I am trying to find a good middle ground editor that can add effects and images over my usual splice and dice videos.

The usual vloggers I watch are RoyalJordanian, 6Foot4 Honda, JakeTheGardenSnake, RidingWithTom, CycleGaz, Motonosity, and C2W.

If anyone has advice on editors, vloggers to watch, or anything in general feel free to post it here. I cannot add links yet, but once I do I will add a video in. My general YouTube handle is EastPhilly.

Welcome to the community!

Are you after free or paid editing tools?
Right now free. Just to get an idea of what my skill level is. I am not opposed to going paid if I can try it out for a little bit and really know if I like the interface. All I really want past snip and paste is watermark, ability to blur out faces/plates and have the blur follow it when needed, and some better ways of having captions. I don't plan on making professional grade films or anything.

I use GoPro Studio right now. I downloaded hitfilm 3 express, but it doesn't seem to like different types of fps. I recorded in 48fps and the audio is just off by about 5 seconds. I tried correcting this with some tips I found on their forums, but it doesn't seem like I can adjust the audio rate enough to have it sync correctly. I've also tried lightworks and ISSE and couldn't even figure out how to import videos and make clips...

Welcome to the forum! Fellow year round rider here and if I can give you a piece of advice, buy heated gear. Start with some gloves and build up from there. Good luck!
