My new bike arrived today as a couple of you may already know from Facebook :) It's a 1999 Honda Hornet and Is in pretty good condition for it's 32,000 miles. Not as clean as cheesecakes was but with a little bit of elbow grease and polish I'll have her looking pretty fly!

Now I've just got to smash through my tests (hopefully not actually involving any smashing please! ) I did take her for a slow ride on the patio around the house but didn't top about 5mph as the power is scary, especially in such a small space!

Cant wait to try her out!

Welcome to the Hornet club. Power band is great and they have quite a bit of torque - enough to make a pillion uncomfortable :)

You've already got a hornet, but with some plastic on the front of it....

Do it! If you can pick one up for the price I did you'll be laughing :D Only thing that isn't so good is the fuel economy, around 35-40mpg.

It's not that bad, I get around 130 to a tank which if my maths is right is above 40mpg. Problem is the 1999 has a tiny tiny tank, 13 litres I think.

I might have a Micron for sale soon. Baffles removed.
I would definitely be interested if you do sell it mate, just pm me a price when you've made your decision :)

Oh not so bad then! I have just been going off what I read else where but the previous owner did say he gets around 50mpg! The Tank is 16 litres including reserve so probably is 13 litres main, not the biggest!

£1020 :) It's got crash bungs, a hugger and heated grips. It does need new tires soon though.

Good luck with your tests btw sstimmyy - smooth and steady wins the race - remember to record your first day out on the bike too, but don't try and vlog - we just want to hear the squeals of enjoyment, hehe :)
