Hi all!

I’ve been riding for about 6 years now and I finally decided to get into moto vlogging. I studied radio-television-film with a documentary and editing degree track in college, but never have had a chance to really use my degree with life and a career in the way haha.
I currently ride a 2010 BMW S1000RR, 2002 RC51, and a 2008 Ninja 250 I am converting to a track bike. Used to ride MX, but after surgeries I can’t really do that anymore. I love pretty much anything with an engine and also have a mini KTM 65 supermoto, 125cc shifter kart, and 2004 GTO drift car.
I’ll be using a GoPro HD 3 Black for a camera, planning on mounting it to the front chin of my helmet. Ordered a skeleton case for the camera and an Audio Technica ATR 3350 mic last week so hopefully they’ll come in and I can get started soon! I’m located in Texas so we should have some time before it gets cold enough I won’t want to ride.
Not sure what I’m going to talk about yet, I do like the technical aspects of riding and working on bikes so maybe start with something along those lines. We’ll see.

Wow! You've got quite a stable there! Do you have a Gas station in your garage at home?!

Are they ALL going to feature in videos at some point?

Well I know what you can do for your first 6 vlogs, a review for each of your vehicles. Try not to make us too jealous though :)
Welcome to the site.

Hah, yeah I could definitely do reviews. Too bad my membership to the local mini bike/kart track has lapsed. Might be a good excuse to get it again. I think it wold be fun to get dirt tires back on my ktm65 and do some trails or MX, its a powerful little bike

Welcome!! Nice stable you've got! I'm interested to see what the 250 looks like after you're finished converting it. I look forward to seeing how your channel and vlogs develop. :)

Welcome to MotoVlogging...with your qualifications you could probably show us all how to do it properly - film wise.... Good choice on the chin mount for the go pro... I had it on top of the helmet but moved to a chin position and it is so much better...

Chin is win!

biker1968, what did you use to replace the thumbscrews on your GoPro mounts? I want to do similar with mine.

Hi c&c believe it or not I used the nut and bolt you get from a b&q copper pipe earthing strap.
They cost a couple of quid and they are the perfect size....it really lowers the overall profile of the setup.... I will send a photo of the strap that I mean tomorrow for you...

Hi C&C,

here are the photos of the earth clamps I used to get the correct nut and bolt to replace the gopro ones

They have a flat head screw slot for tightening, where I used them I did not need to release them at all so once done up they stay like that.

Thinking I might do a little setup Vid on this so you are getting a sneak peak spoiler alert :)

Awesome everyone thanks!

I received my GoPro skeleton case and AT mic last Friday. Forgot to order a GoPro mic adapter so my attempted video this weekend was lame. I did mount the camera to the chin mount and try out the view, I definitely had the camera too low and need other arms...I tent to tilt my head down out of habit. Of course no sound other than the GoPro internal mic.

Biggest complaint, holy moly the AT mic has a TON of wire. I wrapped it around the GoPro mount. Works, but looks terrible.
