Rom: one-one-six unashamed
Hey all,
Just an intro for myself as I wanted to thank everyone who has put up info for me to search through. I'm not sure how much Vlogging I'll be doing but I do have a Sony AS100 coming in for my birthday (the big 40).

I love wrenching, but Im just coming back from a 7 year stint where I didn't have a bike. I have 2 old seca IIs, one is pretty ratted out, the other is an almost complete cafe project. I've only been out a handful of times since October due to a shoulder injury but I've been getting some miles the past few weeks and love it.

I'm also in seminary here at southern baptist theological seminary as God wants me to preach. I figure the world needs a few more men in the pulpit who can wrench and ride...real men. Christ brought me out of some dark stuff, and for that I am thankful!

the seca II sure is an interesting critter. Entry level beginners sport tourer built specifically for that market and the seca II challenge racing series that lasted a few years. At 23 years old a lot of them are still running strong with just basic maintence that almost anyone can do. I really don't like the carbs, no...REALLY DONT LIKE THEM...they are my nemesis but I think I have them tuned almost perfect.

I've ridden just about every sport bike out there that was made prior to 2007. I rode one of the first turbo busa's built by Stedman racing in Grand Rapids Michigan before they moved down to mobile. The last one I rode was absolutely insane and right around 450 hp. The last bike I owned prior to these was a 1985 fj100 with the 1340 kit...that was a beast in its own right. Many dirt bikes and quads had filled my garage and I have a ton of seat time. When I moved from Michigan to Tennessee 7 years ago, I started my own business and traveled about 50 weeks a year and just didn't have time for bike. I e got a few hundred miles back under my belt and am retaking the msf course later this month and an advanced course in August. I might persue teaching the courses in the future too... That could be fun.

I do have a lot to offer you younger guys in terms of crazy stories and advice. I'm sure I'm the only one on here who's first street ride included being hit in the head with a duck at 55 mph, or the hummingbird that would have pierced my heart at 120 if not for my old joe rocket jacket.... Poor thing just drove in on impact and went about 3/8" into my skin.
