Hey everyone! I started up a YouTube channel and Facebook page about a month and a half to two months ago! My father and I started up the Winkler Motorcycle Adventures social media because we go for at least one cross country motorcycle trip a year, if not more. We just got back from a ride up through Canada, to the East coast, and back home! We are planning on doing a fundraising ride to Alaska and back for 3 weeks in June of 2020 too! Currently my father rides a 2012 Honda Goldwing and I ride a 2014 Honda Valkyrie, but we are looking at getting some adventuring motorcycles for our big Alaska 2020 trip. We'll see how it goes! We have a lot of fun, and try and do other things on our motorcycle trips other than just riding 24/7. Here's a couple pictures from our recent trip!

Sounds awesome! but Alaska? bit to brrr cold for my liking! Still sounds amazing though! Who're you raising the funds for?

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Niagara Falls was a lot more than I thought it was going to be! I expected there to be the falls obviously, but the huge city surrounding it with all the beautiful architecture and excellent food was a big surprise to me! On our most recent trip we went through Canada, New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, both upper and lower Michigan, and back home to Wisconsin! We are already talking about where we want our cross country ride to be next spring, so any suggestions are appreciated!

Yes! Winkler Motorcycle Adventures is the name of our YouTube and Facebook, and WinklerMotoAdv is our Instagram. We post our daily trip videos on YouTube, along with some How-To and other misc. videos there as well. We mainly use Facebook for posting our pictures from our trips, and updates on upcoming ones as well as posting daily while we are on trips.

As of right now, we are still in the finalizing stages of our partnership with the non-profit organization, so I am unable to release the name. It will hopefully be finalized relatively soon, we are just waiting on the written approval letter from the company to use their logo for advertising purposes. I will keep you all updated though!

My father and I do at least 1 big, cross country ride per year, and we try to do two. We also take many weekend trips as far as we can get. I just purchased a GoPro about a month ago and I'm still figuring out the moto vlogging, so bear with me! I'll continue to video all of our trips and post them on our YouTube channel!

If anyone has any suggestions for video ideas, video edits, or anything else at all, we are all ears! We currently have Ubuntu Studio, Shotcut, and Audacity for creating and editing our videos.

Again, thank you for the warm welcomes!

My only suggestion is to get an external mic, or an external mic recorder to strength your sounds, and add warmth to it.
There are numerous Youtube tutorials and channels on editing and editors, but the best way to learn is to look at other films, and vlogs (sometimes with the volume off) to study their pacing, cuts, and transitions. You can spend hours getting into film grammar, continuity, and screen direction rules, but it's best just to go by what you like, or do case studies of what others have done.

Looking forward to hearing more about your projects.
