...just out of curiosity, why do they call it the Gold Coast ? Is the sand gold-colored or something ???

Ronin its called the gold coast because "gold member" from Austin powers is our mayor i honestly have no idea i hear a lot of gold coast advertisement say ''come to the gold coast and enjoy our golden sand"' don't look gold to me who knows maybe MrAus can shed light on this...
