Motovloggers Invade Deals Gap!

Checked out the hotel today. I think it's going to treat us well. The rooms are surprisingly nice for the rate, and the one I went into was fairly cool. The office was hot as Hades in July though. Dev is an interesting guy, with a severe deficiency in English, but that's ok.

He asked me how my scooter talk club was doing.. :D

Good to hear that about the rooms! I was browsing the porn-net for places to eat in Franklin, looks like we got a good selection to choose from. I printed off a listing so we can look at it when the time comes. Is the pool in service?

Pool looks serviceable, as for food.. Franklin is a pretty small town, but there should be plenty of places to eat. I've never been to any of them, so that should be an experience.

There's a few restraunts around that aren't fast food. We always stay at the Microtel. Our GA riding group meets the New York riding group there every thanksgiving weekend. It's a little cold but completely deserted. We will see maybe 1-2 cars on a run

According to the chamber of commerce food should be interesting.

Hah, I'm sure it will work out fine. We've been dealt bad cards before as far as food goes, and if there's fast food in town atleast we know we'll have somewhere to fall back to. If that fails, there's a big gas station that probably has pretty good hot dogs. :)

Trying out the local food is half the fun and in all seriousness the BBQ looks tastey.

But I gotta say I find the Cajun place intriguing... Crawfish and gator tail.

I agree completely. I try to eat franchise as little as possible when I travel.

Oh dear god... if they have fried gator I am definitely in. Gator meat is AWESOME. Bit pricy though.

Edit: That BBQ joint is only going to be open while we're out riding. Unless you want a to stick around Monday and eat lunch there. Unfortunately I'll most likely be leaving Sunday evening to go to work Monday.

no toast? :(

hey mytheral. are you riding down? or trailering... if you are riding, what time are you leaving... I can stop by baltimore on my way down and we can ride together.

The plan is to ride down, I've been debating a few riding plans myself so I'm open to suggestions.

toast... if it would help.. you can just crash in my room no charge... you just have to deal with my snoring

mytheral its about 2 hours for me to get down to baltimore from my house. if I leave early enough I can meet you somewhere and then head down from there... google maps is telling me to take 95 to 495(around DC) to 66 to 81 all the way down.

That is the quickest way. :)

Easiest place to meet up is the Whitemarsh Park and Ride

As for a time... What time are you comfortable with? My main concern is usually avoiding traffic (aka the ass crack of dawn) but the sequester makes that more manageable.

I'd also recommend 295 south of Baltimore as we tend to call I-95 "The Parking Lot".

So ready to get out and away from it all! :D Forecast the next few days here in the midwest is looking pretty crappy - I think it's moving towards Tennessee, lol. Everyone pack your rain shat just in case.
