Hi guys I just got my first pair of bike boots today, theyre Nitro NB-41's, and i just took them out for the first time and Im having so diffuclty changing gear with them, the tip wont get under the changer properly, I was wondering if there was anything i could do to maybe wear them in abit quicker or anything?

Cheers

Tim

This happens on all my boots, the leather is very stiff and first and needs time to stretch. However I believe you can adjust the gear lever positioning manually on most bikes. Not seen a lexmoto before so can't comment.

Cheers, currently wearing them now and around the house, will look at the gear changer in the morning to see if i can adjust it!
Thanks

I've had the same problem depending on the bike I am riding. I wear Wesco boots (West Coast Shoe is their full name) (I can't post links yet). They are great heavy and customizable boots. For the cruisers they work perfectly. Even for the Vrods, the work pretty well. However for the Panigale, there is no way they will fit under the shifter. So I go back to my old school Bates Fast Lane Boots. They fit like a glove and fit the shifter. But, I agree with the others, if you can, adjust the shift linkage. Cheaper than new boots.

Wear them around the house alot, and if your planning on using the same boots all the time maybe move your gear lever

I had trouble with shifting with by boots at first, too, because they were too stiff (Dainese TRQ Race Out Boots)... but they broke in just fine after a while so now shifting's not a problem at all. Just needs extra wearing ;) .....

My flight deck boots broke in for riding really quick! (Just wear them all the time, around the house, doing normal stuff, fastest way)

Feel so good now to ride in

I've got TCX X-Race. Shed loads of protection and now they're broken in, pretty Comfy too. I'm not saying I'd want to do any marathons in them mind!

They squeak like crazy though! Or maybe that's my knees...

My first boots were Alpinestars Goretex touring boots that I picked up second hand. They lasted 8 years and they are still going strong as back up boots!
