Just got threatened!

I just witnessed a guy reverse into a car that had just pulled out of another space in the local Tesco carpark. Went over to see if there was any damage, see if I could help out and be a witness if necessary. The guy got in my face telling me to fuck off. When it was clear there was no damage and the woman wasn't hurt I went back to my bike. The guy followed me and said I should just mind my own business, said that if he saw me again he'd smother me and took a photo of my number plate!

Got it all on video and have reported it to the police.

Watch out people - there's some arseholes about!

Wow!!! Some people should not be allowed in public...that is definitely a video you will have to share once you're in the clear!

If someone threatened to smother me I think I would be inclined to smother them first. People shouldn't make threats like that. You never know what kind of crazy mofo you're talking to. You might just wake up in a damp box somewhere in the forest.

When i was about 8 or 9 a kid bigger than me threatened to kick my ass because I talked to his girlfriend. I loosened the nuts on the front wheel of his bicycle when he left it laying in his front yard. He went for a ride later that day and did a wheelie. The front wheel fell off and he fell and broke his arm. At first I felt bad that I caused someone to get hurt. Then I realize that guy was a dick and went for a bike ride with his girlfriend. I probably would have done other stuff with her just to spite the guy but I was only 8 or 9 and didn't know about those other things yet.

Thanks for the comments, guys.

The bloke was with a young lad (possibly his son) who got in on the act and said they didn't care because they were travellers. Kind of leaves me wondering what the repercussions of this could be, but I definitely won't be intimidated.

Haven't decided about uploading the video. Will have to wait and see what happens, but I feel the need to show folks the sort of things that can happen.

Fortunately, my grocery delivery which should be arriving any moment contains a bottle of whiskey which should help me get over the shakes.

Never let someone get close enough to get in your face in a threatening manner. If they come at you in a threatening way attack them first, I would have cleaned his clock. You weren't being nosy, you were just making sure everyone was okay. I can't stand bullies. Most people who act that way are just posturing.

Don't upload anything until the police say it's ok.

I've seen it before where everything gets dropped the moment you put something on the internet.

Oh Kryten, you so smooth.

Well I'm glad you're allright mate.

But Kryten, I'd allways wait for them to try something first, never throw the first punch, unless they're coming at you with a weapon. You'll just end up in trouble :P

Anybody stupid enough to hit a biker in fully padded leather or other gear deserves the carbon reinforced right hook that follows.

I was actually attacked a few weeks ago. I've told a few of you guys about it in person, but I'll say it all here,

I was riding up the road with a mate, when a van pulled on on my mate. After we swerved, my mate decided to sit at 20mph in a 30, with the van tailgating us. The van overtook us both, but needed the lane that I was in, so he swerved into me. I kicked his door lightly, but he did it again, and came much closer the second time, so I put all of my energy into leaving a size 9 dent in his door.

He swerved in front of me, stopped and got out, and got in my face.

So I headbutted him. While wearing my crash helmet.

He retaliated. By punching me in the head. While I was wearing my crash helmet.

After a brief scuffle, he fled when more bikers turned up. and I was left shaken.

I'm not proud of it. But we all live and learn.

Glad you're ok.

You did fine Bikermole, people who act like that need to be shown that not everyone is going to pee down their leg and run away screaming. That's what thugs and punks count on. Stand your ground.

Vid? :)

What are the police going to do? He made an idle threat. They wouldnt take it anywhere. And the guy cant do anything with a number plate. The police wont give him a name and address when he says "i got this guys numberplate and i want to smash his face in, where does he live"
Upload your vid however, and the vigilante's of the world will take action. This guy will have no car to drive into people. Who knows, his travelling tent may burn to the ground.

He reported it to the police, so it's best to wait until he's given the all clear first. If it's as bad as BikerSpeedTriple states, they'll do something.

This is exactly why the video shouldn't be uploaded. If anyone did decide to do anything (especially before the police decide to do anything), BikerSpeedTriple could get in hot water about inciting it - depending on how he goes about listing the video.

You are wise beyond your years, matey. I've got an appointment to talk to the police tomorrow and will be taking the video. Will see what happens.

At the moment, I'm no longer shaking. Half a bottle of wine and a large whiskey are probably to thank for that and also indicate that decisions about anything should not be made this evening.

Thanks again for the support, guys. This is a great community. Will report back on how things go...

Sounds like you might want to look into taking up some martial arts classes or just join a fight club where the current members will show you the ropes at your own pace. I'm a really nice guy until someone puts me or a friend of mine in danger,(or random kids & women) then I become extremely violent.
When people make threats that start with "I'm gonna...." that's a sign of a BMP.(big mounth pussy) People who aren't BMP's are the ones you need to watch out for. In that situation, best thing to do(for your own sake and pride) is jump the BMP before the empty threat even has time to finish crossing his lips. One quick solid punch in the nose will bring his hands to his face & tears to his eyes blurring his vision, then you punch the breadbasket with everything you have, that knocks out the wind and doubles your BMP over at the waist. That's when you finish with a nice hard knee to the face with both hands forcing his head down into your knee since you want the nose shattered not just broken. If he still has some fight in him and you don't feel like fighting... One side kick to the knee will insure he doesn't run at you... And if all else fails kick that fugger in the bawls, grab an ear and rip with everything you've got, and dig your thumbs as far into his eyeball sockets as you can get... There are no rules in street fighting.

If you have a good powerful punch and don't mind breaking a knuckle or two then I'd suggest a one shot to the ear/temple area of the head. Even if you don't knock out your opponent, most people can't handle that blunt force trauma to the side of the head and will need to get off their feet. It'll totally knock their equilibrium out of whack, but a hit that hard hurts your hand and if/when you break knuckles that's something that takes lots of time to heal, and you can look forward to arthritis later in life.

When I was 19 I stopped using my hands for head shots and went to using elbows. You loose reach, but if you wait for a lean in it's all good. Worst thing about using elbows is that broken teeth mangle skin and make getting stitches almost impossible when getting your elbow skin stitched up is hard enough as is.

Worst case, you get your ass kicked. I've had my ass kicked several times, and I would re-fight those fights in a second even knowing I'd lose. Pain is very temporary in most cases,,, regrets hurt for a lifetime.

Sry to hear this happened to you, but just remember... With a little time and effort you can turn yourself into a real fighter. Even if you truly hope to never be in a physical confrontation it's really comforting to know that you can protect yourself and your loved ones from the unsavory side of society.

BTW: I don't fight anymore unless it's necessary, I used to fight for fun and clout. That all stopped when I was arrested for dual assault charges on the beach. I talked the cop into pulling over so I could piss.(45min drive to the jail) I tried to escape and beat the shit out of the cop(while handcuffed) when he tried to stop me. I got away for about 2hrs, then I got rearrested and 8 cops nearly beat me to death. I spent the first 5ish mins of the beating wondering if they were planning on stopping soon. Spent the next 5ish mins wondering if that was the pain limit for the human body. I think the beating lasted about 15-20 mins total, but I was out cold for the last of it.
I still hate cops, but I also don't break the law very much anymore.

haha, some good fighting tips there. But again, with the reinforced gloves that a few of us wear, we'd have an advantage.

Now I don't encourage violence, but sometimes it does help unfuck a fucked up situation xD

Just what ever you all do, be carefull.

I'm sorry, but that really did make me laugh, the stupidity of some people aha :P
On a serious note I'm glad you both seem to be ok. I've never thus far had any type of situation in life where I've realistically been threatened, no idea how I'd react tbh :/

This isn't always true. You just have to talk to the right cop. :D

best way I have heard of getting out of a fight. guy is in a bar drinking when two other drunks start messing with him..
after a bit it seems to be turning violent.. the guy sizes the two other guys up,
pulls out his knife,
and offers it to the two guys saying "you're gonna need this"
they realized that any mo-fo that will hand you a weapon to fight him with is probably, crazy, really good a fighting or a bit of both. and not to be fscked with.

it does help if you look like you can back it up though... guy was pretty ripped.

Thanks, mate. Likewise!

And thanks everyone for the fighting tips. On this occasion there were two of them: the guy in question and (I'm assuming) his son who was also having a go. Besides, I have the upper body strength of Sheldon Cooper and about the same ability to understand the nuances of interactions with other humans (or under-evolved subspecies thereof, as in this case) so find it much easier to just be someplace else with my intellect and body parts intact, even if I am wearing armoured bike gear and gloves and a helmet. I really appreciate the support, though!
