Whaduuuup it's ya friendly neighbourhood Llama on the loose.

So I never even thought I'd start riding until my partner decided to buy a bike. I went from being scared of riding pillion to wanting my own bike to ride in all of one week. Might have something to do with being on the tall side and trying (slightly successfully)to fit on the back of a Ducati Streetfighter 848. Let me tell you, it's a damn shame to make someone drive that thing around with a whole Llama on the back. Plus my lean game is seriously lacking...

I've recently started my journey in learning how to ride with my little Honda XR 125 and am still a little bit skittish and a lot of noob. Hopefully the nerves will go away soon enough!

For the moment I am just lurking and enjoying all you guys' posts, videos and discussions. I am not sure if it's a good idea to start talking to a camera just yet, but I am definitely planning on doing some videos somewhere along the line. Do any of you think it might be interesting/entertaining for me to record some stuffs while I am still learning? Promise I won't be mad if you laugh at my expense ;)

See you around :p

Welcome,

I'd recommend if you're riding anywhere with other vehicles to not try multitask and rather focus on just riding. Talking to yourself/the camera takes more concentration than I first anticipated.

If its in an empty parking lot, go for it.

I'm no expert, just my 2c

In the UK when skydiving, you are not allowed to use cameras until you have carried out 200 jumps, the reasoning behind it is that when learning there is an awful lot to think about and being distracted by a camera could be a matter of life or death. I think if you just fit a camera and no mic then you would not be tempted to talk to the camera which reduces the distraction, but it won't stop you trying to show off to the camera and run before you can walk, only you know if you have the self control to not do that! :-)

That's true guys - I've heard a lot of people mention how it really can be a huge distraction..and I am easily distracted as it is! Even talking to my instructor through the Sena is sometimes a challenge when concentrating. I think I will just keep my focus on learning/practicing for now. I'm finally creeping my way out of the parking lot and on to the road-and there's more than enough to think about already ^_^
I'm gonna be wondering now..which is the scariest between skydiving and riding haha

Skydiving is as easy as falling out a plane..... landing however.... is what is stopping me from continuing with the sport, it hurts when you do it wrong! lol :D

Welcome! Motovlogging can easily distract you, just start getting comfortable talking to yourself, while your learning to ride just speak out loud anything that you are saying in your head. I still do that even when im not filming.

Oh, I always talk to myself anyways...might just not be appropriate to share publicly ;) That's good advice though, get into the habit and when the camera gets added, it won't be such a large distraction!
