Hi everyone!
First, I want to start by saying what a positive community you've all created here. I've been reading through a lot of the content and have yet to find a negative comment. It seems like everyone supports each other in their motovlogging endeavors, and thats exactly why I joined.
A little about me:
- My name is Dave. (MrHeresDave on Youtube and Twitter)
- I'm currently splitting my time between Cape Cod/Nantucket Island/New York City.
- I have a degree in Film with a focus on screenwriting and production.
- I work in the film and entertainment industry six months a year, and spend the other six tooling around on my motorcycles.
- Currently I have five motorcycles. My daily ride is a 2010 BMW R1200GSA, but I also have a 1999 Kawasaki KLR650, a 1987 BMW K100RT, a 1972 Honda CB350, a 1979 Kawasaki KZ400 I bought for my lady friend.
- I'm not sure I would consider myself a motovlogger per se, rather a guy who makes motorcycle related content. I do have a little segment I'm working on, "Bedtime Stories," that seems to fit more inline with traditional motovlogging... if there's such a thing!
- In terms of a camera setup, I'm still playing around to find out what works best for my applications. I've turned to the MotoVlog community to find inspiration. Currently I use a GoPro Hero 3+ Black, FeiyuTech G3 Ultra Gimbal, an Audio-Technica ATR3350 lav mic, Senal MS-66-K mini shotgun mic, an Olympus VN-722PC recorder, Energizer LED panel light for night shots. I also have a Canon T4i for off motorcycle shots along with various tripods and dollies, etc... In terms of editing, I bounce between an older version of Final Cut Pro and iMovie.
Anyway, I want to thank you all for welcoming me into the MotoVlogging community. I'm looking forward to continuing to learn from all of you. If there is anything I can do to help the community, please let me know! In the meantime, have a look at my Youtube channel and website!
