So I'm now an owner of a Drift, with a ton of accesories thanks to MysteriousVlogger :D

Does anyone have any important tips for a beginner? Youtube, recording? Anything that you think would be helpful :P

I'll be sure to put my first vlog up when its done :D

well sticking the Mic in your cheekpad will get rid of wind noise to some extent, I have it on all the time I ride, you never know when it's usefull, so maybe invest in a Hardrive. Sony Vegas pro is what I use to vlog and if you talk with me on skype I can help you "aquire" it :P

IMHO short videos are good, 5 minutes or less. If you've got a really interesting days ride then I guess you could make it longer, but a good aim is to keep the quality/time ratio up.

Just my opinion and don't forget to have fun :)

Think about what you're going to vlog about before you go out, so you're not lost. Make sure your lens is rotated upright... learned that the hard way.

on the whole duration thing: I thinI it is a matter of style. I have heard others say 7 minutes or less. which is probably good if there isn't really a topic. just saying 'howdy, y'all' for instance.
if you really have something to say though 5 minutes won't cut it. I shoot for under 15 and ideally I want 10. however for a substantial topic, say selfdefense, that means you have to stay on topic and get to your point quickly. turns out it is not easyto do while also riding a motorcycle. at least not for me.

keep your audience in mind as you plan and realize they will fall in to different segments. some people only want the under 5 minute videos. others want longer. someare like me: I pile up videos in my watch later queue and let the play on my other screen while I'm working. I don't care how long you are, but if you are lame or boring I'll hit next. do something cool like chase's video about why he blogs I'll hit like.

Also try to find roads without traffic as vlogging can take some getting used to, and at first it will be a distraction just like talking on the phone just not as bad.

Makesure you record everytime you ride. its good for insurance and such :) ive got a hero 3 black but ill be using a seperate audio device because gopro audio sucks

Wow, very useful advices. Thanks all. One question I have though is, what you mean when you recommend being yourself when vlogging?

I'd like a help on how to 'acquire' Sony Vegas, please ;)

record everything
keep it short and dont ramble... (watched a clip today 4minutes long, of which 3 was him saying the same shit over and over and over and over)
if you cant watch the vlog yourself... DONT UPLOAD IT
be yourself

You can't try to force yourself to be funny, have lots of energy etc. It will seem fake and you won't keep it up.

People will either like you for who you are or not, and there's not much you can do to change that.

Record everything. Be yourself. And have fun. At the end of the day it should be something you enjoy to watch, even more so than anyone else.

Just act natural. Say what you think, don't force it. If you're in a bad mood, make a bad mood vlog. If you've got nothing to say, don't say anything!

As the famous saying goes:

"Always be yourself. Unless you can be Batman, then always be Batman."
