Hi all!

I will buy a GoPro in december. But i don't know yet which one.
I'm thinking about the Gopro 4 black. This one is too expensive for me new, so i have to buy it from someone else.

What are the things where i have to be careful about?

And which accessoires i need?
- Extern microphone?
- ....
....

Thank you! :)

I would go with Gopro Hero4 Silver unless you foresee shooting a lot of 4K footage.

Accessories will add up but check out Swiss Motard on his camera setup as well as MicBergsma (on YouTube) for camera comparison between the Silver and Black.

For price, I think GoPro is selling refurbished Silvers on the US website so they might be over there too.

Still in doubt..... black or silver......black or silver.... :(

Are there any options on the black, which the silver not have?
Or are there any options on the silver, which the black not have?

Haha.... can't find a difference

Sorry for my english....... :(

I think thats gonna be fun when i make a next video with talking.....WUAAAA

Your English is fine.

As for your other question, the Silver has a touch screen built in which can be helpful at times. The latest update for both cameras ( 5.00) allows both to use the Linear view but the Black has to have the touchscreen added as an accessory or you will need to use the Gopro app on your smartphone to select that option.

Hmm oké!.....
I don't have enough space for apps on my Phone... (grrrrrr Sony M4 Aqua... :( )

But the both cameras have the same good video (color, pixels, etc...)?

Here is a good comparison video that helped me decide:

He only has 10% hearing so he usually has subtitles in English when he speaks.

Here is another a little more in depth comparison:

You might want to open the last video in YouTube itself and set the resolution as high as possible to get full benefit of the comparison.

Sorry about that. Here is a more visual comparison:

Hmm....
I don't see any difference?

What about the battery? Is the battery faster empty in the black or in the silver?
I think silver because of the display?

And can you put another battery in both of them if they are empty?

I see now its the gopro 3.... on the movie. :D

But the left one looks a little bit 'warmer' ....the color.

Some have said the battery runs out faster in the Silver because of the screen but you can set the screen to turn off. Both have swappable batteries and both can use the battery backpack.

Swiss Motard has a video where he runs an adapter cable to an external battery source to give about 8 hours of footage. He is a forum member and I think his video is still out there.

Here is his setup:

I just use the regular battery and battery backpak for now.

Go with the silver unless you feel you really need the extra features that the black has to offer. External microphone and the adapter for the microphone, you should be all set. Need to trial and error with the microphone placement to get the sweet spot of capturing decent voice without too much of the wind noise.
