Go Pro Battery Life.

Majirtom

"The Captain"
Hey guys Cpt. Majirtom here again. Just curious about something. Is there any way to make the gopro battery charge as your riding and filming at the same time. Kind of like how WALTERIFFIC on youtube has his setup with the camera he uses? I'm just wondering because I'm going to be going on long rides where I live and unless I bring 4 batteries I'll never get the battery life to last the ride. Any suggestions helps.

Thanks errrrrone.

Anker USB power packs. Pop it in your pocket and have a lead long enough to reach the camera. Not sure how you deal with mic input though.

Your mean like a portable charger? I just tried a mophie portable charger and I couldn't get the hero 4 silver to record.

Pretty certain quite a few have managed it on here, should get some confirmation before too long.

Brunton All Day Battery. Since you plug in the battery itself to charge it I believe you can charge as you use. So just hook up a battery tender adopter that plugs the battery into the bike and boom... all day power. I just hope you have a big enough memory card.

Is 64 gbs big enough you think? Lol oh and thanks ill check it out.

Yup, 13h for 720/30.

I shoot 1080/60 on my Ghost S, and while I've not properly checked I get in excess of 5h on 64GB and snother vlogger says 5.5h.

I guess I never realized because my battery dies before I fill up the card haha.

I'm not sure, but I think you can do that with a Hero2, charge while record AND have the external mic. Old school rocks! Haha.

That's because the GoPro quality and bitrate is substantially higher than the drift.

It's pretty much wasted on YouTube though.

Ok so here is my set up. I purchased a couple of these
RAVPower 7800mAh Portable Charger Power Bank External Battery Pack(Deluxe Series, iSmart Technology, 2.4A Output, 2A Input)for iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows smartphones, tablets and more (Black)
I got them for $10.99 each when I picked them up. Even at $16 that is a good deal. I have used it 3 days this week hooked up directly to the Sena GP10 That is powering the GP10 as well as the Gopro itself. I am going to keep running until it runs out to see exactly how long it will last. Right now I am over 3 hours of recording time out of the pack as well as using it once to charge my Sena 20S that I forgot to charge and ran dead.

Well F$#$ Since the forum will not let me post a link to my image you can go to my Pbase account and see how I have my helmet set up if you like at

Sorry the stupid site will not let me even show you the images of how I have my helmet set up. Or even give you the address to my pbase account to see them. frustrating.
