Hello from Canada, folks!

Call me Ven, or Call me Keith... I'll answer to both. Or maybe I won't.
I'm 100% new to motovloging, at least the recording side of the fence. I've seen a fair number of different videos since I started riding, and I recently decided I'd have a crack at it myself. I think I'll enjoy it! I'll be testing out my voice recorder tomorrow, weather permitting, so if all goes well my first video will be up that night, or at the very latest the next day.

I ride a 2007 CBR600RR (blue/silver), and she's my baby. My back is all kinds of buggered, so sadly I may not have her much longer and will be swapping out to a more upright bike... not a clue what, yet, or if I'll even go through with it. Sometimes the pain after a long ride is entirely worth it...

Right now I have a GoPro Hero2, and I'm contemplating a second camera. Either a Drift/Contour, or another GoPro.

I tend to skip past most posts in this section, to be honest, but the FNG got me. I have a hard time passing up someone who would willingly adopt such a title. Good luck with the bike hunt, I know all too well what it can be like when physical pain causes you to consider giving up a beloved bike.

I had to sell a cruiser that I loved because the seating position and an old snowboarding injury didn't agree with each other. I was pretty upset about it at the time, but a few months after moving on to a sport-touring bike I realized I was considerably happier. Was quite nice really.

Our yearly bike trip is heading up to Alberta this September. Heading to Banff and hopefully on to Jasper if time allows. Any tips from a local about good roads in your neck of the woods will be fantastic.

Oh that's awesome to hear! I highly reccommend the Highwood Pass, Canada's highest road. If you're coming into Alberta from the south, you can take the Highwood Pass to get to Canmore/Banff (http://goo.gl/maps/nS5YA). The 1A between Canmore and Cochrane is nice, too. If you just want a quick loop near Banff, go to Lake Minnewanka and ride the loop there. I haven't ridden to Jasper yet, even though I'm less than an hour from the mountains, but that's on the list this year. If I come across a nice stretch of road there I'll let you know!
