So I'm using a GoPro 4 silver set up with a sennheiser me 2-us mic. I litteraly just finished my set up. But wow did it take a while. Theres so many things I didnt consider when doing it. It took about 2.5 days to set up (Not straight at it but pretty constintaly).

A few things I had to deal with was. The gopro distance from my helmet so I could plug in the mic adapter easily. The (I have no idea what there called but) tightening knobs for the gopro. They get in the way of eachother so you cant really get the right angle. How to keep the mic cord tight to the helmet so it ither doesnt flop in the wind or look funny. How to mount the mic.

Anyways I got it figured out. If anyone has any questions let me know.

Mmmm, I think GoPros are overrated, no offense ;) . I think it's just name recognition that makes them look so big :p (and they are big in size, too ;) ~).

...but if you like it, then more power to 'ya :D - and congrats on your setup ^^ !
 
haha thats ok. who knows I might switch over to the drift after failing with this. But imma give er a shot b'ys.
 
If some other manf made a comparable product I'd consider it but no one does...Water proof is important to me, as is the variety of mounting capabilities...
 
They both have their uses, but the most active people on here are drift fans so it can come across as a little biased.
 
The gopro in my opinion is a much nicer camera, even the picture quality is better. But it comes at a higher price, also it's more noticeable on the helmet. The drift looks much sleeker on a helmet, and it cost alot less. Honestly you can't go wrong with either camera, it just depends on what you are looking for and how much you are willing to spend.

Note: I use a Drift mainly because I don't want people staring at me and shouting "GOPRO!!!"
 
yea i've used my gopro for like 4 days now and people always stop me omg is that a gopro? whats it for? are you filming me lol kinda wish it was more stealthy
 
im using contour cameras at the moment but seriously considering switching to gopro
 
I have the sony action cam, gopro, and drift and I must say the drift is my favorite.

Sony has the best quality in my opinion but for youtube it really is no different between the cameras.

I actually swapped from using the gopro to the drift because of the stealth factor. Gopro gained too much unwanted attention even from the cops.

Plus it's nice not fooling with mount parts just clip it on the helmet and go.
 
I use a Drift, though I find Gopro's video quality is much better. The thing about Drift I like is its easy to use for everyday vlogging. And I'm a lazy SOB.
 
Quality is king for me so I love GoPros. I use my GoPros for a lot of other things so they're my obvious choice. A lot of great cameras out there for different uses.
