External Mic for any Contour Camera

Got a bit more information on this product? Expected release date, price, how it works etc?
 
While you're at it, please make a "boom" mic for the GoPro too. The flexible boom needs to be about 8" long, the the mic needs to be really flat (like the Autocom mic) so it does not get in the way. :D
 
Honestly the best way to market this would be to give a few to motovloggers, I use a Drift, so i can't, but there are guys on here who could help!

What he said. Find some of those that use Contours and turn them into product testers. Drift did it and I think it made a HUGE difference. Most people knew nothing about them, then some pretty popular people had them in hand and things changed quickly.

hmm as a contour user myself this does appeal to me. Will be interested to see the results and how easy the product is to use.

I also agree with Curly that giving the product to real (not saying you are not) people is the best way to get honest feedback from the target market. I'd be more than willing to try this out to help you guys.
 
Ive just bought a ContourROAM and this does appeal to me. If you do need any uk based testers there are a few about (including me)
Ill keep my eyes peeled, and itll be interesting to see how it all goes
 
i was just about to do the mic mod to my contour ill have to wait and see how this turns out and mabey even get a roam if it is not compatibly with my hd

We are working diligently on this project and good things are coming.

This project is intended to address the needs of the HD, Roam and GPS. The current prototype is only being testing on the Roam, but it should work just as well on the HD. I am working on prototype (4.0), this will allow us to test all the Contour cameras. We are working diligently on this project and good things are coming.

Sorry all. Its been a long spring and this project is still in the works. We have started the patent process last month and I was warned it would take awhile but I was hopeful that it wouldn't be too long. I was hoping for a public release date of early summer but I have been told to expect around mid fall for the patent to be ready. I know as far as the riding season goes this would be too late for the U.S. Its a real bummer to have something in my hands that I know all contour users could use and I cant share it because of all the red tape that has to be dealt with.

Good to know you're still at it! I was wondering about this only a few days ago, as I could really do with one.
Are you saying you have a finished and working product now?
