Ever Been Spotlighted By A Police Helicopter?

So I commute about 100 miles a day to and from work, on my way home last night, I decided to push the temple just a bit. Doing about 130 for about 15 miles. All of a sudden a spot light passes over me, then focus on me for about 15 second, then just disappears, I did drop my speed down to 85. I assumed it was a warning to slow down. Anyways I was just curious if something similar has happen to anyone else?

No I haven't had that happen to me, your quite lucky, if the police helicopter is out they were looking for someone, that doesn't just go out for patrols, So the person/people they were looking for were more important than stopping you for going 100.

Kayoken is definitely right, they wouldn't waste the cost of a helicopter as a speeding warning system.
But your story still scares the hell out of me.

They've done it here before... we have this get-together event here in my city called Americruise (YouTube it :p ) and the streets go nuts. I heard that last year (from the newspaper if I remember right) the State Patrol helicopter caught a few bikes for speeding, among other vehicles :p . The police really cracked down this last year. Crazy stuff ~_~ .....

I can see them spotting one "on their way home" at random times just to send a message they're prepared to use the helicopter if they need to on bikers.

Strange question but, I was kind of spotted by a police helicopter just after a wheelie!
I was followed by the helicopter very close to the ground but they let me "escape".

Oh and I caught it on a video too :)

Depending on how close they were, they might have gotten your license plate on record ;) ~

That seems like something so random. I've never heard of a helicopter spotlighting some one randomly. When I first saw the forum I thought you were referring to patrol cars. I have been spotlighted by a patrol car for no reason other than I guess to warn me.

There are 2 videos I know of where police helicopters have reacted to seeing bikes travelling at speed. One is a chap who was commuting home and the helicopter was out on other business but had seen him undertaking and speeding they recorded it, directed patrol cars to him and got him stopped!

License gone.

I'll bet there was. I used to do the lighting for legal dance events, the impromptu "illegal" raves were more around my mid-teens, and living in the arse end of nowhere getting to that sort of thing was nigh on impossible.

I did it when police turned a blind eye. We used to give farmers a fistful of cash. We'd leave the field/location cleaner than we found it. We had deals with some farmers about using their fields that had stubble after the harvest, us lot trampled it down for them lol.

I used to phone the local police, tell them that the nearest neighbours were (no less than 3 miles most of the time) and then tell them we'd close by midday. They would always phone back and say 'if you're not gone by 9am, we'll shut you down'. It was like a game. Once confirmed, we'd tell them where the location was.

I've had police holding black bags open while we cleaned up. I've shared a flask of coffee with many police lol.

Now, its about smashing the locks off a warehouse, full of drugs etc. Yes, we had people doing drugs but it was so controlled and no-one was so mashed that they needed medical help etc.

I went 'legal' and ended up moving into the night clubs, did a bit of pirate radio and all sorts. You can't get away with it now, you'll end up inside due to idiots wrecking it
