Hey motovlogonians...just a quick heads up if you are going to upgrade to the free windows 10.
Many of the Graphics cards start acting up...NVIDIA in particular.
I upgraded and found that my Cyberlink Power Director could not use hardware acceleration or access the GPU. Just got a green screen in the preview window.
Turning of hardware acceleration was not an option as the preview was too jittery.

Have rolled back to windows 8.1 and all is okay....Just as well as I have a ton of editing to do.

You have been warned....;)

I've had no problems matter of fact its a bit quicker to render the videos in Vegas.

I've had no problems with Vegas or Adober Premiere on any of my 3 machines. They all have different GPU vendors too (dedicated NVidia, dedicated AMD, integrated Intel).

Make sure you're not blindly updating to the latest drivers though.

Yeah, I haven't had any issues in Win10 w/Vegas. Got an old AMD card (think it's the vapor-x 4890) but I don't remember if I set any advanced settings in my card. Though I would say the preview gets laggy after more than one effect & my machine is pretty high'ish end ('cept for the old card but that was top notch when new) but that was happening in 8.1 also.

I've had zero issues with windows 10 minus when you upgrade significant parts you have to re validate windows which is super annoying. I have a MSi gtx 960 and Mine works flawlessly. Windows 10 actually is better for everything then windows 8.1. It uses direct x 12 instead of 10 or 11
