Drivers On Phones

jist wondering how you all handle drivers on phones? Now I go for the quite hand signal but recently a woman was on her phone and she had a child no more then 2 years old and I completely lost it with her..
What would you guys have done?

It depends on what they are doing. If they are texting, I might give them some trouble. If they're doing it with a kid in the car and I end up next to them at a stop sign I would probably give them hell. Around here, it's hot outside so most people are in the car with rolled up windows, A/C on, stereo blaring. they can't hear or see shit that's going on around them anyway. I have a dry clutch and unrestricted exhaust and people can't hear me.

I bitch at them, from the comfort of my helmet, as I sail past. I want to get away from drivers not paying attention as soon as possible.

Occasionally, I may get passive aggressive and stare at them as I go past. (:

I do most of my traveling at highway speed, so I have to keep my eyes about me as well. I will give them what I call "the look" occasionally, where I put my face really close to their window and glare at them. You have to imagine the Derek Zoolander "look" since I'm in a full-face and sunglasses.

Generally don't to much bar tut at them. If I'm filtering I'll ride next to their window for a bit. Reason being is that I've a full hi viz jacket, so first glance up they tend to crap themselves and drop the phone in the door pocket, then I chuckle and ride off :)

Like Dan says though, you can't change anyone. There's a mobile phone addiction and people need their fix. I was guilty of texting whilst driving (was easier on the old Nokias with predictive text). Got on a bike, realise what a stupid thing it was and never touched my phone on the move since. Only time my phone is out in the car now is if I've got it out as a sat nav.

Yeah same I use to text drive all the time until I got on a bike that's why I don't kick off but I see that kid in the car and just couldn't keep it in

I used to get pissed off with a lot of shit that drivers/riders do on the road. To the point that I wasn't enjoying my ride anymore. Now I just concentrate on my own enjoyment and safety. Even with the best intentions, you're not going to make someone see the 'error of their ways' by confronting them. It's like telling an alcoholic friend that they're drinking too much. They have to realize it for themselves, hopefully before something bad happens.

I don't usually give a shit with what people are doing while driving when I pass them, I'm more concerned with what's up ahead.

However if I do encounter some assholic (it's a made up word) behavior (not just restricted to drivers on the phone), I would give them a rev bomb (if I modified my horn to after-market loud ones I'd use that instead and save my fuel - it's expensive), give a "WTF gesture" and shake my head as I pass them.

Don't care if they get the message or not. We need to let natural selection do it's thing more often, world is getting more f*cked because of the lack of natural selection.

I don't bother. I'm not the police or able to change anything
I ended up doing this. When I first started lane splitting, I would get angry and wag my finger in their window.

The longer I ride, the more I end up riding past them without a second thought.

I had a friend killed by a texting driver - she was 30. The texting driver also died, his father was too ashamed to go to the funeral. So I feel strongly about this but as others have said it isn't for us to police or put ourselves in danger. If I get to stop at the lights beside them though they get everything they deserve, fuckin morons.

I do nothing. If they're stupid enough to be doing it, then they aren't clever enough to decipher the semaphore signals of an irate biker instructing them to cease and desist across the safety glazed divide. I just give them a wide berth and hope that the only person they hurt is themselves.

It doesn't help that if I filter past a driver on their phone in Hamburg, they're more likely to give me shit about getting past them in the traffic! It's a battle I can't win so i stopped wasting the time, the energy and the emotion.

makes me mad when i see ppl texting and not paying attention to the road. i usually just speed up and get away from them.
