Change from dark theme?

I seem to have a dark theme viewing this forum (always have had) not sure if this is a default or if its possible to change to a light theme?

The problem is that when I go to respond or post, its black text on a dark grey background making it VERY hard to read / manage.

Yeah same for me. It's a bit annoying.

you can change the text colour using the scond icon (looks like pac-man) on the second row in the panel above the text box.

Or you can just switch on "Toggle BB code" the icon with square brackets [ ]

Thanks for the tip! I toggled BB Code to off for this post, and now my text is white over the dark background... Three cheers for @Theodor !

Thanks. Of course you shouldn't have to toggle bbcode for each post etc. The choice of black on grey is insane.

I have mentioned it to @dandoolittle a while back.
Weirdly, it is something I have gotten used to and actually it now is not something I notice, its only the box where we are typing that is black and unless you do not know the words you are typing, is not exactly a major issue, as can easily see what I've typed still even with it being black font.
With Dan tagged in this, maybe he will have another look though and see if it is something that can be easily sorted

I must say, the switch to see bbcode stays on for me, so I have not worried too much. It might be also me being weird and liking the view with the full code of quotes and all...

So the toggle brackets works and stays on but it makes all other icon gray and unusable. So when I toggle back I get Spın̈al Tap black on dark gray. As long as I don't try to read the black in the sun, I can tolerate it.

At least it is a small improvement in visual performance...

That's the trick I used back in the old bad internet days, with dial up. When you could lose the connection suddenly and if you did not have a copy of the page long rant, you would have to rewrite everything
