So I Did the trainingfor my Cbt It was all meant to be done in a day but me and the other learner wasnt learning very quickly when we first started although none of us have ridden a geared bike before But we learnt more or less all the basics ... Emergency stop, did the figure of 8 , starting and stopping and so on The trainer said that We had done Really well because it has been Raining all day and we went from not being able to ride a geared bike to Almost Full Cbt standard :D! a few thing left and Then Full Cbt
So close to Getting to ride Cant wait!

Do you have 2 parts for a 125 Geared cbt? When i did mine when i was 16 on a moped it was all done in one day.
its a 1 day thing but Because me and the other learner had not Ridden a geared bike before we didnt Have enough time to Get everything learnt and go and do the Cbt aswell Because its illegal to take Cbt'ers out at Dusk/night time :) and some things we got quicker than others For example both of us found it hard to stop in a straght Line at first but we could both do the Figure if 8 no problem :)

Well done man, it took me three tries before I got my CBT done, going out on the road can be quite scary, but after you're there for a while you can become a lot more comfortable and you can enjoy it. :) Good luck!

The road is pretty intimidating lol But i suppose that is what you get for being a beginner and i agree with you on being more comfortable because i was really nervous before we started on the test track lol :D

125s come at a premium, which ones are you looking at?
erm not sure atm but because of my size i want to try and get a supermoto/enduro bike because i am 6 foot 4 i dont think i would fit on something like an aprillia rs and To be honest i quite like the supermoto look :D but i wouldnt mind in a few years when i can afford it having something like a KTM250 and a GSXR 750 :D

you want both?! :P I'd love a super duke.... or a bwm f800gs... or a triumph triple... or a cbr 600rr... the list goes on.

I took my CBT @ 17 on a moped.

Passed first time, learnt gears myself. Can I ask why it was a training day? & possibly be cheeky and ask how much?

I paid £125 and was all done in the space of 5hrs. Now when I see moped's around and people only wearing tracke's or hoodies I just think how did you pass your CBT.

When he told me that if you come off your bike at 20mph it will skimm right down to the bone, my brain went all fuzzy. I have never worn anything other than protective gear since.

Good luck with the 2nd part i'm sure you'll pass it's hard not to.

At 30mph its the same as putting your arm on an angle grinder, i even wore full gear on my ped.

a cbt these days costs £95 or there abouts, no matter how many days it takes you only pay the one fee (this case £95, your case £125), the cbt is a training course not lessons, josh does say it wasn't his fault just one of the other guys was a bit slower at learning, and with shorter day light hours they made it over 2 days.

erm it was meant to be a Full Day for a cbt but Because me and the other trainee didnt Progress as fast as the trainer wanted we had to spend a bit more time on some things so it became a training day, instead of a cbt day and it cost £95 as we payed for a Cbt, but because we only did a half day and we already payed the £95, so when we go back it wont cost us anything for a full day for the cbt as they are knocking it down to half price, and we are now in credit with them for £45 :) sorry if thats a little confusing I can try and explain in a different way ( sometimes i confuse myself lol)

And I dont think ill go out on a bike even if its just around the corner without safety gear i value my Skin and body Too much Lol :)

Same here a 5 hour jobbo, was all done by 16:00

Good luck on the 2nd day!

Re: 20mph skin loss. I have a dark patch on my elbow that will testify to that. Came off a road (push) bike at 25mph, removed all of my skin from my left forearm on one side and my elbow was abraded (i'd filed away cartilage and bone)

Lucky I didn't need skin grafts, took months to heal and hurt all the time during that period too.

Thankfully my only scar is a dark and yellow dirty birthmark looking patch on my elbow, 5 years on I still get flashbacks so you won't catch me on the bike in anything but the right gear.
