Camera On Motorcycle

DMotovlogs

Sexiest Motovlogger Alive
So I have watched a few motovlogs where the riders ride with the camera attached to the handlebar or on the windscreen. Everytime I try to do this, my camera shakes to shits haha.
I don't know if it is because of my type of bike (Cruiser) or if it is just me not knowing the proper placement.

Does anyone know how to make it less shaky?

I was going to say it's probably just because of your type of bike, but Andy Bumatai rides a Victory and he uses a camera facing him. See if he has any videos on his camera placement.

post a pic of it,
do you have arms extending from the mount to the camera? If you do, they could be helping create a worse wobble

In all the different Cameras and setups ive had, youll ALLWAYS get shake, if you mount it directly to the bike. Rubber and foam between the mount surfaces helps reduce, but their is almost allways 'some' shake.

Ive been Googlin lately to see images of the 'Professionals' mounts/poles etc. Their are STAX of different styles, arms, even HighTech Gel filled Gyro-Stabalizer mount thingies, etc., etc.

I was thinking of copying something like this (just the bracket+rubber shock bit), to then do the Double-sided tape with my GoPro/Navig8tor mount to it. it would ONLY act as a Shock-Absorber tho, and Not remove all shakes/sudden bumps, but i reckon it would reduce it??

But thats over $400!!! (insert smilley FALLING ON FLOOR!!) lol

Maybe rig up an arm off your bar mount, act as a Stabalizer/Balancer?, that with a rubber base will proll help heaps??

What kind of camera do you have? Try a suction cup mount, as the flexible suction cup should soak up some of the vibrations. Also choose your mounting point carefully. Handlebars and windshields are some of the more vibration prone areas. I'd suggest a more firm location like the tank.

The handlebar is a good non-vibrating place. The windscreen not.
I mount my front camera using a suction cup on the front fairing, it doesn't shake too badly.

You've obviously never ridden my bike. I think the only part that doesn't vibrate is.....well s***, even my eyeballs vibrate. lol

This doesn't look too shaky does it? I went trough a bumpy railroad crossing and after that the road was busted. I don't think I can get a worse road to test this on.

Looks a good camera too. Might consider that as an alternative to the mobius.
The picture quality is OK, better than the drift but it is not a camera I'd recommend.
In 1080 the picture gets jelly effect, the camera stops recording at 28 minutes, you have to manually restart it, it doesn't support external power, it has a firmware hell, you cannot use it in the summer because it overheats and shuts down. Just a few of the long list of issues with the Liq Ego 727.
