Socialblade.com is an amazing site too to be able to see other's progress as they grow. You are able to see how much a partner could potentialy make in money...and you can also follow someone closly to see when they blow up in subscribers unexpectedly and can narrow it down to either buying subscribers
or sucking some major pee pee.
Buying Subs is something that is frowned upon within the community...because it gives a false sence of video and content quality.
Ass kissing, isnt really frowned upon persay, but leaves a bad taste in everyones mouth.Savvy?
I am not personally calling an individual out...just know that people notice when your video (quality/content) to subscriber ratio is a bit off...

Social blade is a reseller for adds, as for buying youtube subs a quick google found $50 bucks for 4000 subs, thats not legit accounts, they might pass youtube standards. but they are not real people.

if ure referring to a person whom lets just say " every house has a _____ " then i know who you are talking about.

then again social blade can market your channel on your behalf and gain you legit subscribers.

the thing that i hate and have talked about heaps in my " how to be a successful motovlogger" video. is buying views = that is a big thing and redicliously cheap.

i think it was athene did a whole video on it with costs etc etc.

I for one know 4 and have legit proof of 4 Major vloggers WHO bot the channel. automated comments program. ( video views - and subscribers )

i am not envious of these people as they are cheating their own way to fame..

Yea I think Socialblade.com is a bit over optimistic on the projected earnings. To be honest I make more from the couple of computer tutorials than all the motorbike ones put together.

This is a small part of the reason I've not vlogged in a while - I naively looked on it as a place to share interests and have a bit of a laugh, but when it starts to become a popularity contest and people looking on it as a business it changes focus entirely. I didn't really see that happening with motovlogging because it was so specialised, or at least appeared to be. Like I said, naive...

the reason I monatised some of my vids - is that I heard I'd get more hits, I have no expectations of making any money, though i'd of course not say no to some free money :)

The way i see it, vlogging is an expensive exercise, i've spent well over £250 just on cameras in my time, so any opportunity to make that back i'll take, but i don't see it as a money making venture and i certainly won't be tailoring my videos to make me more money, but yeah, it would only be silly to turn down "free" money.

All of that pales into insignificance though with my average 20p per day earnings!

Yeah, I guess in context I'm not talking about the vast majority of vloggers like yourself, just the seedier side of things...

I like making videos.

Some people like watching my videos.

This makes me happy.

Happiness = better than money.

To be fair, the guy that I think ariderswife is hinting at, did recently get mentioned in one of the most "popular" vloggers videos. And his videos are nearly always entertaining, and I honestly don't think he would have bought subs.

I'm definitely not defending someone against buying subs. I don't condone it, and I don't think it's fair on the rest of us who legitimately accumulate subscribers and then have to go through the partnership waiting period. But I don't think it's fair either, to be hinting at, or even outright accusing someone of something without solid proof.

And if I am wrong about whomever it is ariderswife is hinting at, then maybe that hint shouldn't have been posted. Because there may be a few others who came up with the same name I did.

That's my two cents anyhows.

I lol'd and then had to double check it was life rather than wife :P

Back on topic, my point of view is the "I don't give a shit" view. It's not about making money, becoming "famous" or anything else. I make videos as and when I feel like it, if people like it that is great. I enjoy getting subscribers, comments and lots of views, but ultimately it is a hobby of mine where I can share videos and show people what it is like to be on a motorcycle. Even to the extent of scheduling videos, I don't get!

IMO if you want a good gauge of quality and content look at the audience retention graph. Anybody who looks at their channel and has 3000 subs but 200 views is obviously full of shit, and if that floats their boat then great for them.

...Lets just say...That I find it hard to believe that you gain 100 subscribers+ in a day and have ZERO channel viewsfor the same day...just saying=)

You do realize there's a difference between channel views and video views right. I'm just going by the first day that he had over 100 subs and 0 channel views. He had 19,000+ video views. Maybe he did buy views and subs but his video view numbers are pretty good so they're not all fake subs.

I don't understand why this subject comes up so often here. Everyone knows that big name people use bots and other means of getting subscribers. If people are jealous of people buying subs and views or using bots there's a very simple fix for that. Buy yourself some subs and views or start using bots.

...so here's a question...dont you usually have to view the channel...to subscribe for the most part?(other than channel promotion when you sub to someone else)
