I was looking through a few websites for bike gear and went through amazon and was able to get me everything for under £400, can anyone do any better ;)

new or used, if used, i could have you kitted out for £150 (not including helmet, strong believer in shop bought helmets) :P

not that i have time to, but i'd happily bet that you could do better at sportsbikeshop, plus their service is excellent!

I brought all my gear for about £380 when I started out, pretty chuffed with that!
Don't think I could do that now and I'm quite religious when it comes to buying gear I'd rather try everything on and make sure it fits perfectly and is comfortable.
I have considered buying a new helmet from online however, not sure it's best though.

As good as my postman is, i just don't trust Royal Mail or any other courier to treat a helmet like it needs to be, i just don't like knowing what kind of things the lid has been through before i entrust it with my brain!

I think helmets will be packed well enough if they are bought from a reputable seller. Shouldn't be too much of a problem in my opinion! Although I agree, buying in a shop is ideal, if anything you need to make sure the helmet fits properly and is comfortable. Nothing worse than a poor fitting helmet!

Lol .. I bought my helmet from GhostBikesUK ... Very good very well wrapped... not even a mark on the helmet (would have sent it back) ... plus box was in pristine condition...

I always use Get Geared, also the Two Wheel Store, they have a shop in macclesfield, they sent me a crunchy chocolate bar with my RST boots :)

Seriously, dealerships need to learn food = custom!

I highly recommend racevisors.co.uk you get a free visor with most/all helmets. and the deliver is quick as hell :) Top Draw.

Forget how its delivered, it is VITAL that every part of your gear fits 100% ESPECIALLY the helmet.

I'd never buy a single piece of bike gear online, you must try it on in a shop first.

And as we were saying in another thread, you can get often get discounts in a shop. May find its just as cheap if not more so than online.

I recommend definatly ... I Bought my new helmet from them, My boots, My gloves, Neck tube, Paddock Stand, Security stuff...
And had to send the gloves back due to a couple of bad stiches in thumb (not there fault) instant reply and they paid for return postage and sending new pair out!..

Amazing service

Helmet always yes, but for someone like me whose nearest dealership is £10 of fuel away (yes that is how i measure it :P) online is definately cheaper, i just make sure i measure myself properly and i've never had any problems with fitting :D
