Alert Counter

Observation rather than complaint.

Hit the "new posts" option in the menu, loaded the one unread post, and the 1 apoeared on alerts. Read the post, replied and went back to new posts but the alert was still there. Can the alert counter system be linked to posts you've read? Curiosity more than anythjng.

I think I know what you mean. I don't think it can. That's part of the core geeky stuff of the forum software I'm afraid
