Adsense not updating. Anyone else?

My Adsense data isn't updating. Is anyone else experiencing this? I actually got more views than normal yesterday and my Adsense account shows $0. Even when I'm not making videos and getting very few views I still get at least a few cents.

I'm assuming it's a glitch but then again Google is notorious for making changes or disabling accounts without telling people. You would think a company as big as Google could make things work properly or at least communicate with their users when there's a problem. Working with Google is sometimes extremely frustrating.

Copy/Paste from my email to adsense...

Up until now, YouTube calculated revenues for partners using two systems: on the YouTube side and on the AdSense side. Beginning April 1, revenue will be calculated entirely on the YouTube system which better accommodates complex and custom payment scenarios. This means that YouTube will be better able to calculate revshare percentages, which will help correct overpayments in complicated claiming scenarios. Partners with complex payment scenarios may see their payments for April fluctuate from past months.

A secondary component of this change is to our reporting offerings. As of April 1, all AdSense earnings reporting will only be managed at YouTube Analytics and in downloadable reports in CMS. The AdSense reporting interface will no longer display detailed information on YouTube related estimated performance; earnings shown for the AdSense for Content Host property will be $0 starting April 1 in the AdSense reporting interface.

Going forward, please refer to YouTube Analytics for detailed estimated earnings information. AdSense will continue to pay out YouTube earnings.

You can learn more about this change in the YouTube Partners & Creators Blog.

Please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with today.
Best,

Abby

I personally think it's absolute BULL SHIT!!! I have two different youtube channels and now I have to wait 2days for the earning reports to come in and I also have to go check both channels and add the amounts to get my total... I was REALLY hoping it was a bad April fools prank...

It's SOOOOO disheartening to see $0.00 on my adsense page!!!!!!!!!!!!(fucking bastards.. rant over)

Shortly after I posted my message here I found a link talking about it. I never got an email from Google or anything. I wish they would at least communicate with their users when they do something like this.

So if I'm understanding this correctly the earnings will show up on our Youtube analytics instead of in Adsense. I kinda like that if it means I'll be able to see earnings per channel instead of all being lumped together. I have another channel that generates a little income and it's a channel that my kids help me with. I've always given them a percentage of my Youtube earnings and had to estimate how much my motovlogging channel was producing so they're not getting a cut of that. So now I'll know exactly how much of a cut to give them.

It still sucks that they don't communicate changes like this with their customers.

Noticed this yesterday, slightly annoyed...

Analytics is always out of date, and on top of that it gives me my earnings in US dollars, really helpful! (not)

I'm still getting free money though, so who am I to complain?

But it's not free money. You're working for that money. You're producing content and that content is making money for both you and Google. They need to realize that without their users producing content they have nothing. They need to start treating their content providers like partners and not like children.

I have another channel I'm working on and it's actually work. I'm putting a lot into it and it irritates me that at any time they can just change the rules and make it not worth my effort.

What exactly is adsense, and how does it work?

I'm guessing that you need a fair few subs, videos etc to actually apply for it?

I think they recently opened it up to everyone. However if you're just starting out I wouldn't slap ads on your stuff in the beginning. I still only put commercial ads on the things I put extra effort into. On the regular vlogs I usually just put the little pop ups on the bottom.

Adsense puts ads on your videos, you can make money because you get a VERY small percentage of what the advertising companies pay to have the ads on your video.

I(like to) think most of us make about hundred bucks a month or so. Some make more some make less. A good month(for me) will pay for my internet bill with some cash left over for weed. I buy lots of bud..lol

Here's a scrnshot of(someones) adsense.. enough info is gone that noone would be able to prove it who it came from. lol

You can still estimate earnings by taking the CPC x the number of clicks if you want. This one would be about $7.30 for the day so far which should end up being about $20 for the day.

Got to be kidding TC? I get around £150 a year!

You only need to get one video to go viral, or even semi-viral (50k+), to pull in some decent money and subscribers too. Think about it this way, if you have a video that gets 100k views, and if only 1 person in a 100 actually subscribes, that's 1000 subscribers off of that one video. Now, you've earned money from that video, plus those extra 1000 subscribers are going to check your other videos, earning you more money there too. That's why some people upload videos that aren't theirs. Meanwhile, the rest of us can stick to vlogging as a hobby.

Hah, I've been linked with adsense for 2 years and still haven't gotten a check.

Make more videos! I suck at motovlogging and I get a check almost every month. I've never understood why M13 always asks for donations and makes private videos for pay. Considering what I'm making he has to be getting some nice checks.

Eh, I've gotten pretty boring in the last few years. Had this whole setup existed in 2009 or so things would be a lot different. It doesn't bother me though, because for me it -is- free money. I vlogged before adsense, I'd vlog without adsense, and if they kicked me out I'd vlog after adsense. The only thing it changes imo is whether or not I generate some sort of income. :)

I always tell my wife I'm going to quit working and do youtube vids full time once I can average $100per day. Dreaming is good...

Ah, here we go. Found this video which shows how you can find an estimate.
