Hey all,

Just joined the forum which looks like a great place. I have just setup my Youtube channel and will be making my first vlog soon, hopefully within the next week. Thought it was worth joining to pick up a few tips on vlogging and get some useful feedback on my videos as and when I make them instead of some of the twats on Youtube trying to start arguments and what have you!

For my first video I plan to just do a little bit of a vlog on my way to work and tell people about me, my bike and anything else that springs to mind!

Thanks for now,

Mark

Thank you chaps :-)

I did try to make a vlog the other day but all that could be heard was wind :-( Need to figure out how to insulate the mic in my helmet from the wind noise. Any tips?

Thanks for a speedy reply! Where is the best place to put the mic would you say? I had it just under the breath guard thing, because I can clip it on there easily. Would I put the insulation between the mic and padding of the helmet? Sorry if it's obvious, I am not clever with this sort of thing haha

Welcome to the forum!

Behind the front of the cheek pad is a common one, but it can vary quite a lot. Some people put extra foam and the tip of a latex glove over the end of it too. Experimentation is really the only answer, but there's tons of threads on it on here, just use the search box!

What lurch said, just peeking out of cheek pad is my setup with a Rycote windjammer on top. I get clear audio at 70mph+
