Hey Guys!

I have uploaded my first video 4 months ago and I have about 540 subs and over 100k views on my channel
What you guys think? Am I doing good or I should have more? Could you look at my channel and give me any advise what else could be done to make it good?

Here's my channel : http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLrPc-k ... irmation=1

you are way more adavanced with your vids and bike than i am... :)

It depends if you're uploading videos just to hoard subscribers or if you actually care about uploading quality content.
There are better metrics than "subscribers amount" to see if you're doing good or not.
If your video gets 1000 views, it doesn't mean that everyone liked it. It doesn't even mean they watched the full thing.
Some vloggers get all about subscribers and that's a bad measure of community engagement or quality assesment of your content.
Check out the analytics on your videos. If you have a few, look for the data on each one. You can see what part of your video gets the most attention, what made your viewers just say "fff it" and close the window and what part is being watched more than one time (if you did something funny, it'll be repeated over and over by the viewers). That is a better measure of your actual content and not a number that just means "somebody clicked a button".

once you reach the 1,000 mark, it will start to pick up some mroe speed, such as 130 a month, then 300 a month then 500 a month then 900 then 2,000 etc etc.

Thanks for this tip, never thought about using the analytics in that way.
Will go and try that out soon 8-)

Seems good to me. The bigger you get, the faster you seem to grow (as ARidersLife mentioned).

As others have mentioned, it's not just about subs. It's views, engagement, etc.

I think a good formula is to make exactly the video you want, to the best of your ability. If YOU like the video, you're good. This assumes you have good taste, LOL. But really, make something good and people will come. Good audio/video/editing, etc. Good content too. Don't be afraid to be controversial if the mood strikes.

Good luck. Seems like you're doing well.

It takes time, i am still chugging along at below 500 but i have taken since November to get that. Is it a reflection on my videos? maybe but then also i probably could try a little harder. If you are doing good stuff it gets noticed. Also sadly having a crash a motovlogger or a very very close near miss bumps up the subs

Your doing better than me and I been going since April with vlogs and I'm at half your sub count. What the bigger guys have said from here on out things will start to snowball.

Dont put too much stock into my opinion but as the others said, the longer you do it thw more it will snowball. Also, its safe to assume youll get more comfortable or just plain better at what you do as you go which will help. 534 subs is nothing to worry about. Youll get bigger.

That's a really remarkable start - a considerable amount of subs in such a short time - most of us won't have been able to match that. Good job mister!

Wheres the motovlogging? I think you're on the wrong forum. 650 subs and 100k views in 4 months is amazing for a starting motovlogger, but im not sure how it compares to other 2 minute wheelie videos.
Your link going straight to the subscribed function is a dogs arse to.

Does it matter how many subs you have? By clicking your link and instantly being asked for permission to subscribe to your channel, I guess it does.
Just make the videos you want to, mate. People who enjoy watching cowboys on R1's will naturally find their way to your channel.

Wow, that is a pretty impressive effort I reckon. Well done. :D

Could it be though that you are gaining lots of subs because you are sharing that link around that takes people to your channel, but with a "Confirm Channel Subscription" popup over it? Not sure I like that. (how do you do that by the way?) :?:

Watch time is more important than subs and views though in my opinion, although more subs equals more watch time usually if they are dedicated and committed fans. What percentage of your videos are people watching? You can see that in Analytics. Are people watching your videos all the way through? You can get loads of views but still only have people watching on average 10 to 20% of your actual vid, which is bad.

First impressions of your channel looks interesting though, makes me want to click at least another video . :D

LOL, cowboys on R1's are always going to be extremely popular on YouTube for views and subs!

haha, yeah. I must admit I enjoy watching the cowboys do their thing.

Certainly impressive.

Took me near 2 years to get to that number. Another 2 years to get to 1500.

You must be doing something right.

Congrats.
