Dead Motovloggers

Here is a sobering topic. How do we know when a motovlogger bites the dust? I know that some dudes have been seriously injured and later posted videos from their hospital beds. Just wanted to know--how we will ever know if a motovlogger we follow dies in an accident (doesn't have to be an accident). I had been following some vloggers, who just disappeared.

Makes you think.

Thoughts on this subject?

Nds took his life about 2 weeks ago,
there was that other guy who tried, failed and eventually died in hospital, I think it was end of last year?

Something else i noticed about youtube though, The big guys seem to get injured or have funny diseases in their lives. Its crazy.
The one pot chef had some form of cancer,
EN187 recently had a big foot op
SXEphil's dad has some weird kidney disease.
Jake the gardensnake tore his acl (or what ever its called)

thats just teh ones off the top of my head. Is there a youtube curse?

Word will get out if anything serious happened to a motovlogger. If they just vanish it's usually because they have given up on vlogging or they are just too busy to make content.

I have to say when people share these things it takes things to a whole new level. It makes these guys more real, if that makes any sense.

I don't think anyone really plans on their "exit" from this world and prepares some sort of good bye video for that occasion. When something unfortunate happens, I doubt updating your fans (if any) is at the top of your must-do list, maybe after the aftermath, can provide an update, or for your example if passed away, most likely your family/friends will do the updating.

Good food for thought though. RSSR.

It's because we put videos up of us lot "queue jumping".

I was filtering a big queue the other day and two cars beeped at me and my mate.

;) its hard to explain motovlogging to none riders. Even some riders don't get it
My [ex-]housemate is like that. She's a biker too, and describes my filming as "gibbering shite to himself" And she just doesn't see the point in "talking to yourself" while riding.

Ironic you mention the disease thing. I have an eye disease. Posted one of my surgeries on youtube :)
I've never let it stop me from doing what I love, well, as of yet, but it absolutely sucks, and I wish it upon no one.
I know have implants in my right eye that helped a little, and am going in for my left eye implants next week. Going to do a follow-up video once I finish up all these procedures and crud.

Hope it goes well for you and its all over quickly. Had to have my eyes lasered last year due to eye pressure being too high. Seems like its more common than I ever thought. There were loads of people at my doctor when he was doing this procedure. Asked my doctor while he had the laser out if he could do some lasek on me. He said no way man. But he never told me why not.

I would imagine that someone would post something if a vlogger gets injured. And word on social media spreads pretty quickly. My friends know I vlog, and now that I've started vlogging, I've come to know several vloggers. I also always tell my roommate where I'm going when I'm going out for a ride. And to have her notify someone in case something does happen.
