Yeah, I had to google what a panel beater was ... a.k.a. auto body mechanic . If it works, it works !

Now that's a shame particularly in this instance. So is that a restoration or a replica going on? I know barn finds seem to be doing a thing, and if a panel has rusted through there's not a lot you can do.
