Oh look probably another thread asking the same question!

Termi

SHABBA!
So yea, this question has probably been asked a MILLION times, so apologies if it has.

But I am wanting to get more views on my videos and eventually more subs and likes. Not just on YT but my YT Fb page. I have a feeling that my screen name probably has something to do with it and I accept that anything with "Brony" instantly becomes the scourge of the internet, but i rarely even show or post anything to do with them. I have thought about changing my screen name but then decided against it as well I like this name and well I can't think of another one. Also I doubt people enjoy watching a small cap bike toddle around a town and sometimes a A Road.

So could I have some hints, tips and any other awesome tricks to make my content better.
I even practice Vlogs when I am not recording. Most turn out better than I am recording XD

You could try recording some vlogs with the intention of not uploading them, but just for practice at editing them. You will become more comfortable, as you are when you're not recording, and soon have a good vlog to post. Plus some valuable experience with editing, which is often the hardest part of making a good vlog.

Just practice, that's the only way you'll get better. Over time, improve your stuff by implementing styles and whatnot you enjoy from other videos you watch. As for gaining a following, you'll have to keep pretty active and engaging, and more and more people will follow along. It's actually a lot of work haha.

Especially at the start, you have to interact, interact, interact. The more people you talk to, the more will check out your channel.

>Brony
There's your problem bro. You chose a very polarizing subject and made it into a YT name. You should expect lots of love/hate.
It's the same with anything furry. People seem to hate furries.

Practice and find your own style while practicing. It took me a few tries to get something right and boy was it embarrassing :( ...

Also, making something through editing that's joyful to watch (adding band to the buck) makes a load of difference, too ;) .

I'm sure you're just going through the same growing pains everyone else has gone through before :) . Good luck ^_^ !

I did have a massive essay I typed but I missed the 5min window lol

I kinda gathered it was the Brony thing and I accept that. But I see very basic channels with minimal editing in the content with 100s of subs. So I was kinda confused what they are doing to get the views and subs that I am not doing. My Facebook page gets lots of messages each week that I reply to when I can each day and I enjoy doing so. I always put up fun outtakes on the page and pictures from the videos not seen, as a nice way to show I am not just a random weirdo that likes technicolor ponies haha, my subs post 90% of the pony content on my page.
But I also thing it is the small cc of my bike because I put up a video of me riding my mates FZ6 and I have a ok..ish amount of views on it and comments.
Either way it is not getting me down as I love riding my bike and chatting away so I will keep practicing and when ever I have a Lesson towards my test I will record is and post away as I think it is a fantastic mini series to show everyone! To quote vin deisel "I ain't got nothin but time!"

So help me out here - what the hell is a brony?

To many the bane of the internet that should be purged from exsistance forever and scratched from history.
Or as a "hater" would put it a mentally disabled guy/girl who looks at cartoon ponies and gets off on the art work that is up on the net!
To people that just don't care, someone who likes the new My Little Pony cartoon.
My self I just like the show, I don't do half the crap that others do, yea sure there is "that" side of the community that does do what the "hater" translation, but it is to my knowledge very small, there are some that buy every pice of crap merch that is released, there are some like myself that has a few plush toys that were gifts intended to annoy and embarrass me but failed.
The main reason they are hated is because MLP is a show for girls and a guy watching it is "just wrong" though I was bought up with a twin sister that loved the original show so I did also watch it with her "hence why I probably don't care about liking this one" and a guy going down the toy isle saying "hey look it's a Applejack Plushie!" Is coincidered not manly and is not normal.

If you want I can post my whole Pre Masters degree paper up if you like as it is on the Bronies Community in Mental Froensics XD might take a few hours to read haha Joking it melts my own head looking at it let alone how many pages it would take up on this forum! I am cheating in this as I am a Brony so it is a easy pass hehe

I'm confused... maybe it's my age ~_~ . So since when has an '80's cartoon become such a big (and bad) thing  ? Is this something British  ??? I understand what you are saying about guys watching it and all... but what I guess I'm trying to say - are the Brits more standoffish to guys watching MLP (I haven't watched it since the '80's, btw, when I was a kid - rarely watched it anyways :p ) than folks here in America are, or is this an international thing that just hasn't made it to Nebraska yet :p ? All of this brony and Technicolor ponies, etc. stuff is new to me :o . Sorry for sounding ignorant ~_~ . No offense, either ;) ~.....

The Brony community is MASSIVE in the US and it actually started there (to my knowledge it was anyway), it is the new series of it "My Little Pony : Friendship is Magic" that the Community is based around though some people follow every series but most are just MLP:FiM. As for Brits being standoff ish I am actually from Noosa so I can't say but as I have lived here for 15years in the South UK and southerners are probably not so much (minus the Chavs). Most people who figure out that I am a Brony just plain don't care, even my mates just don't care sure they have a dig but it is banter, as long as I don't pressure them into watching it they are cool. I have a friend who loves Hentai and the same applys to him, as long as he doesn't show us it we don't care. My co-workers find it "cute" most are female and love the 2 plushies I sew a carabina on and hang from my backpack, the only guy I work with is too stupid to realise what they are. The show to me is a bit of fun for 20mins each sat (when it's actually on TV new series wise) that I can just mong too with a joint and a beer. Just to be clear here there are some VERY creepy Bronies and some like myself that unless I was with others you wouldn't know or if you are one yourself.
But the general out look has been covered from the creepy side, there was a guy who did a Nat Geo doc on fandoms and he did Bronies, bless him he did try to understand but failed, he went to the UK con called BUCK and dressed up as a Character from the show and must have found the worst examples ever!! Then went to the US comic con and found even more! He must have found like 4 normal examples out of all the interviews!
Thinking of getting this printed to the back of my Stryker Vest!

What do ya think!?
This convo has given me a idea for a Vlog!
Also you didn't pass of as ignorant so dont worry hehe

Nah, call ignorance on me 'cause I'm still a little unsure about what a brony is :p ... but oh well, if it works for you then go for it ;) !

Just so that you don't take me the wrong way - wasn't implying that Brits are standoffish, sorry for that ;) (although Londoners, maybe :p ~). Also, where in the heck is Noosa :o ? Is that in Australia or is is a yogurt :p (heh jk about the yogurt ;) )???

Easy answer here then Wiki it, just bare in mind that things like that paint a bad picture of them. They only focus on the male perspective when the female one is larger oddly. If you would like to call ignorance then ok lol
Can't believe I forgot about Londoners! Yea they would probably take what ever the wrong way!
Noosa is a small island just off of Brisbane I call it an Old Peoples Island because it is where retirement aged old and mould people buy there retirement homes. Very nice place, just lacks in good roads.

I looked it up on the urban dictionary earlier... probably one of the worst places ever to look up such thing up on :p . I must live in a bubble, who knows ;) .....

So what made you move from there to there :o ??? I'd love to live in Australia if I had the chance :D !

Probably was lmao!

My old man is from the UK and he wanted to move back here so i went with him, oddly he moved back to OZ when i was 20 and i had made a life here so i stayed. It is a nice place to live but expensive from what i find every time i go to stay with my Family for a holiday.

Kinda moving slightly back to the question, How do you guy keep on topic through vlogs? I always seem to finish with topics very quickly and end up having 2/3 topics in one vid??

There's nothing wrong with putting out a short video with one topic. In fact you're more likely to get non-subs check out your videos if they only have to commit 1 or 2 minutes to it. You can still do longer, multi-topic videos as well.
As for some channels seeming to have very basic editing yet having 100s of subs, it's a mystery of YouTube. I've been astounded at how many people sub to some channels, with boring content, little effort put into editing, etc. Then I'll find another channel which is funny, entertaining, very professional, and they struggle to get subs. Sometimes it's just down to luck.

Huh! didnt think of doing a short and sweet video, usually mine are over 10mins as that is how long i can usually edit my travels to work takes 15-18mins raw.

I asked that same question to a facebook page i am subbed to and i got back people tend to buy their subs, so that was my answer lol I will stick with my 74 genuine subs as like i said before i would still do this even if i didnt have any. The subs and likes i have just make me more determined to make better videos, i also appreciate each one! Buying subs is just a cheat way to get big and you wont learn a thing from it.

While buying subs increases your sub count, it reduces the percentage of your subs who watch, like, dislike and comment. YouTube likes interaction, especially in the first week your video is uploaded. Ultimately, buying subs is bad for your channel growth.

I looked up what a brony is and it is a male that watches the My Little Pony Cartoon. This is from the urban dictionary at:http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Brony , where it says "A name typically given to the male viewers/fans (whether they are straight, gay, bisexual, etc.) of the My Little Pony show or franchise. They typically do not give in to the hype that males aren't allowed to enjoy things that may be intended for females.

Other spellings: Bronie
Plural spellings: Bronies
Female 1: Have you seen the My Little Pony cartoon?
Female 2: Yes! It's so cute and awesome!
Male 1: I've seen it as well.
Female 1: You're the coolest brony ever!"

I think as long as a person is not a "Ja-bronie" then I am cool with it, as long as they know their role, and not go down the "Ja-bronie Boulevard", then get handed a "Candy A**" Whooping. LOL
