Welcome to NethSchot

Thank you for the warm welcome!

I'm a 44yo Dutchman from Nijmegen living in Salford, near Manchester UK. Currently I'm looking into buying a bike and getting a license, but my CBT lapsed a while ago. Renewing it all this Summer and keen to capture some of my exploits after that. I've got ideas for asphalt-based adventures and content mainly focusing on the North-West and the Scottish Borders at the start. Probably on an A2 motor scooter, but it may include some greenlaning anyway. I'm not very chatty, but for me part of the fun on two wheel is the freedom to explore. I will undoubtedly find stuff to share. Unfortunately I can't yet reveal all, but I hope it will be of some interest. I've been following vloggers for a decade or so, starting with the late, great Svengalie. It's so sad what happened to him, but I come back to his videos fairly regularly still. Also really enjoy content from TeapotOne, ItchyBoots and FortNine, and curious to find other creators of course!

Welcome. I'm not very chatty either, but doing the vlogs has made me work at my speaking.
If you're video on the best view in Portland is anything to go by, you're doing very well with interesting things to say in a very beautifully edited video. Subscribing!

Thanks. It has gotten way better. If you watch my early videos, my talking to the camera was much more awkward.

Hey and welcome.
I read that you are looking to get back into riding or just getting a late start on riding. Both of these are really good topics as I have met many "older" riders just starting out or restarting their two wheeled adventures.

Many people may think of the novice rider as some young person tearing tail on their bike of choice and learning along the way. But in certain areas the novice is just as likely to be someone who has established a life and now wants to try something new or something they could not do because of adult responsibilities.

So you just going through the steps to get back on two wheels is just as appealing to some novice riders out there as any other new rider producing content.

It took a while but I've finally tried @HippoDrone's old Drift Ghost XL Pro and a sibling Drift for the rear to make a vlog, of sorts. It's in Dutch though it has English subtitles. I might continue in both languages, not sure yet.

Awesome you have had a go at putting a video together @NethSchot once you reach the criteria to be able to share it, we'd love to see it in the "Members Vlogs" section. You'll need to get involved in the various discussions on here a bit first though! :-)
Glad you are enjoying the camera mate
