What's up everyone! I go by Gemini on youtube, and my name is Dylan. I'm from the greater Los Angeles area. I currently ride a 2019 Yamaha R3, it's my first street bike and I love it. I used to ride dirt bikes occasionally, but nothing major. I always wanted a street bike, and now that I'm older and have my own career I decided to take it on as a hobby. The decision to start vlogging was actually because I had a couple people ask me if I would in some of my other videos. I don't plan on being famous or anything, I just want to connect with other riders and dig deeper into this awesome community. I have photos of my bike and will update my profile later on, I found this site on my phone while at work. I hope everyone and their is healthy and safe in these troubling times, but we will get through it!

Here is a shot from Malibu of my R3

WOW, stunning place to take a photo! :)
Yeah and honestly I knew riding motorcycles would be fun, but I didn't expect motorcycles to take me to places that are so beautiful. Just a slow cruise through malibu is super enjoyable even without dragging knee.. it changed my perception of why I ride and what is the ideal bike for me for sure.

Welcome! I hope you are staying safe and well there near L.A.

Have you ventured up to the Angeles National Forest yet? I rode there a few years back and felt like that was a motorcycling wonderland with the views. Maybe it was just the thin mountain air but either way, I loved it!

How about the Snake? Is it still closed from the fires?

I'm not sure if the snake is reopened yet. I typically stay away from the more densely crowded riding roads, not because of this whole social distancing situation but mainly because I know I'm a newer rider still and dont want to slow down other riders, or have the pressure of other riders around me. I will eventually go there but only when I feel I'm ready

Welcome to the group. If you feel up to it I'd also suggest the Pacific Coast Highway, or Highway 1. I've driven it from Portland, OR to LA, but only by car.

Good idea not being over ambitious.

When I rode the snake, it was early morning on a weekday. The only people I saw was a couple making out at the overlook.

I will have to check my archive because I think I had the camera rolling but did not publish it.

Just went up Mulholland today. Looks like everything past the diner is closed. That being said there is no social distancing at the diner lol. I'm not gonna sit here and say I'm for or against social distancing now as I'm not here to argue with anyone, but just calling what I see. Crazy times.

Yeah, the numbers in L.A. don't look good enough to be all touchy feely. Heck the numbers where I live in rural TN make me want a shower when I get home!

California has some incredible roads for motorcycling. I've only been down there twice but it's one of my favorite states to ride in. Such diversity in scenery too.

Yeah it's pretty much the motorcycling mecca. I'm lucky to live so close to the canyons

Welcome to forum Dylan. R3 is a nice looking bike and boosted by the fabulous scenery you will be able to ride it to or through.

Love your blacked out R3, did you get all the black bits yourself? Also is this your first bike?
Yeah it's my first bike, the bike came in factory black with the R3 tank protector, yoshi carbon exhaust, and yoshi tail tidy (rear fender eliminator). I added the t rex racing protection kit (engine case protector, no cut frame sliders, spools, front and rear axle sliders) and the ram mount. I love this bike, aesthetically for the price and engine size it's a great looking bike.

Really dig all the protection you have. R3 really looks great, very similar styling to the "bigger" kawasaki
